Cozy River Cottage

If you enjoy a peaceful, laid back stay with a view of the river but still close to shopping and dining, then this is for you! This quaint little cottage sits on the banks of the Kanawha River. Sit on the couch and watch the river roll by or enjoy it from the picnic table outside. Inside you will find two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, TV, desk and chest of drawers and the second with a full size bed, TV, chest of drawers and a stackable washer and dryer. The kitchen is well equipped with a french door fridge, gas range and microwave fully equipped with everything you need to whip up a delicious dinner. A charcoal grill is also on the property if you prefer to cook outside. The bathroom has a shower/tub combo and is stocked with towels, wash cloths, body soap, shampoo, conditioner and a blow dryer. All bed linens are also included along with detergent if you want to do laundry before you leave! Close to shopping, dining and grocery stores. You will truly love this cozy cottage on the river!

Family girls trip

Thank you for hosting our little family get away. We enjoyed our stay so much. As we drove around Dunbar and Charleston, we all were able to share memories from when we were here as children. We will most definitely stay in your lovely cabin on the river again.

Overall it was an quaint place to stay but the last day before leaving, there was some construction that made it a little inconvenient. The workers tried to be as quick as possible to get done. I do plan to stay there again when I visit my sister and would highly recommend this place to stay. It's easy access to Hwy 64.

This lil place is in the heart of Dunbar. It was so easy to get to and had everything we needed. My girls only complaint was that the bed in their room made noise every time they moved, otherwise the place was perfect. The host was very responsive when we had a question about the TV. There is a Kroger and an Aldi very close if you need to get some groceries. Great place, we felt very safe. We will be back and will stay here again when we return!

We enjoyed this house very much. Very relaxing and quiet. Grocery and restaurants very close by. Took our lawn chairs down by the river and watched the boats go by.

Beautiful river view ands quiet home. It would be great if there were things like jigsaw puzzles or games to play. Also, maybe keep some mosquito spray in the Cabinet. The mosquitoes were savages! But overall, it has been the best place weve stayed!.

Cozy riverfront spot

Great little house on the Kanawha River. Everything in the home is very well thought out. We loved the location and riverview, and the convenience to Charleston and other parts of the valley was great. Danielle is a wonderful host. We would gladly return!

Beautiful Rental

We were very happy with this rental property. It was beautiful and right on the river. The atmosphere outside was so peaceful. The inside was perfect for what we needed. There were so many extra amenities that made it even more inviting. The owner was very easy to get in touch with and very pleasant to talk with. We felt safe and at home. We will definitely stay here again when we're back in the area.

Nothing is far to get to. CVS is very close to grab snacks or items forgotten. Lovely property where host provides everything you might need. Easy to keep tidy. Appliances are new and function well. Did not use oven. Host has made was visiting friends so didn’t explore the attractions but near main roads so it seems it would be easy to get to anything. Capital Market is not far for fresh, reasonably prices groceries, terrific little cheese and wine shop. You can find many items made in WV. Fabulous meat market too. Proprietors are friendly and very helpful Soho restaurant has delicious fair. Soup and pizza is wonderful. Many suggestions for activities provided by thoughtful hope. I found it so relaxing to be by the river and read. Host is responsive, friendly and helpful. Will certainly book here again when I come to town, looking forward to it.
