What an amazing find!! This location and home were perfect. So much space and every imaginable thing available. The house was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. Great communications with the owner and they were terrific to work with. We will definitely be coming back.
This property was amazing! Tons of space for dinners with families and sleeping! Pool was a fantastic asset! We will definitely be back! Such a cool place!
Very spacious older home, we had fun figuring out which light switches went with which lights. Weather was great so we enjoyed the pool in the morning before the evening game. It was in great shape. It was nice to have so many beds without having bunkbeds. With 6 of our grandblessings with us, their parents appreciated no bunk beds to worry about the kids falling out. We will definitely check if it's available if we're back in the area with family.
First the host was great and extremely responsive! The host allowed an early checkIn as there were no guest before our arrival time! Pros of the home: it was enough space for all our guest that booked the property. It was only a 15-20 mins drive to Texas A&M, Kyle Field, other entertainment and eateries. Cons of the home: the pictures displayed did not fully reflect the condition of the home- there were holes in the walls, peeling wall paper, leftExpired condiments in the fridge from prior guests, and an open alcoholic wine bottle also left in the fridge. The den area for entertainment did not have ample sitting for a party of 13 and the couches were low and worn. The house seemed as if somebody had lived there. The outside lighting was very minimum at night we had to use our phone flash lights to enter the code to get in. There was a small mouse trap that was in one of the bedroom closets. There were dolls and books about spirit and demons which was a bit off puttingMy opinions: solar lights outside can make a huge difference so guest can see especially at night. A good pressure washing of the exterior and small renovations to the home can make the stay more comfortable. Updated furniture that will allow guests to have places to sit other than the floor.
This is a great house for a bigger group. The pool was not swim ready when we arrived, but the property manager communicated well and ensured it was cleared up for the rest of our stay.
Spacious property. Plenty of room for 14 people to stay comfortably. Dining areas and family room areas were specious and accommodated the group for multiple meals. The property was perfect for our needs.
This is our third year to stay at this location -- we book it as a meeting spot between our friends in Austin and my husband and I in Fort Worth. We love the space of the house, the VHS tape collection, and the pool. We will continue to book this place every summer -- and potentially even more once UT starts to play A&M again!
We needed the perfect spot with a private pool in between Austin and Houston and this ended up being perfect for our family. Plenty of space for the kids to watch a movie while the adults played card games in the great room. The kitchen and pool were well stocked and Helen was easy to communicate with. The Atrium was beautiful and such a nice place to end the evening. All in all we loved it. Thanks Helen!

Thank you for your comments. So glad you and your family were able to get away and enjoy the country and the pool. Hope to see you again sometime.
This place was the perfect location to celebrate my husband’s birthday with our friends from DFW and Austin. The pool is big, tons of extra space for large groups (extra refrigerator, extra pool towels, extra air mattresses, etc.) Our group even took advantage of the great VHS collection and had a movie night. Helen, the host, was super communicative and all of the guidelines and instructions were easy to follow. Not only will we be renting Thai location again, several of our friends have tagged it as well as a great and super viable location for large groups.
We stay at many VRBOs, and we like interesting architecture, which this house had. This place was very roomy. We stayed here for a wedding, and because many of us are aggies, we didn't cook in the house much, but instead wanted to eat at places we ate at while in school. The pool was nice, and the kids had fun in it.
This VRBO was located close to Texas A& M University in a quiet rural neighborhood. The property was clean and the pool was beautiful. It was easy access to events and restaurants.
Great place to stay if your hosting a event. Spacious yard, roomy house inside, and if your wanting to spend time inside you can always stay in the atrium. Over all my family would stay here again. Thank you Ms. Helen for always answering my texts and accommodating us.
I booked this for a wedding. The wedding was Friday night. So we used this place for Thursday night stay for family and future family coming in from all parts of the world. Had this fantastic house till Sunday morning since we had to clean up venue Saturday morning. Plenty of parking since this place is in the country. Nice to be near restaurants in Snook, TX to get away from College Station Liberal Arts professors. This house is a 70s time capsule. Large collection of different country art. Fenced in pool to make sure little ones are safe. Wonderful host. Plenty of kitchen, bar, towels, bedding, and needs you didn't know you needed everywhere in this house. 70s/80s toys you didn't bring for the little ones. Biggest VHS collection I haven't seen in years while watching younger ones not knowing how to put them into player. Books and magazine collections if you want quiet time including National Geographic magazines from the early 60s forward.
We had a wonderful stay at the Myrtle Estate. The owners were very helpful and worked hard to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We loved the convenience of a half bath by the pool! The kitchen had everything needed to serve large groups.
