Luxury Guest place: very close to lake and downtown

Very gorgeous and located in the center of the Bloomfield township downtown. The tastefully decorated Terrace Level that is fully finished with central heating and air conditioner. With separate entrance and code for your access. The loft space is detached from the main house that we live in. The loft space has two bedroom with queen beds. Sheets, blankets and pillows are provided. Very comfortable for 4 guests. A big living, dining and beautiful kitchen all together in a common large space. A complete bathroom is available with towels, hair dryer, and amenities such as shampoo, soap, lotion, toothbrush. A resting bed for your lovely pet. Also a gym facility is available. Dedicated workspace for guests. Complimentary basket, coffee, and tea is present for guests. A patio with a swing is available for guests. More than 100 restaurants, grocery, huge amounts of outdoor activity close to the premises.

Nice Place

It was very nice,clean & was very spacious would definitely recommend just keep in mind its a little cold but one of the rooms has a heater so it worked out!

Large space and clean

Property is not a loft as described, it was a walk out basement space. The steps to get to the door were in need of repair and landscaping was rough. The space was large, clean and quiet.

The place was musty. It’s a basement location hence their automatic frequent spray that goes off every 25 seconds outdoor deck, moldy, rotten, ugly appearance, sliding door unliable although owner claims new lock was installed day before two. Additional locks were available did not have keys for either one per his wife only refunded 50% after not staying more than a couple of hours. Needed to go to a wedding urgent request. Owner responded well after an hour no solution would not recommend anyone staying here.

My visit

Assumed it was a house not a basement of living family. Was no communication to enter through basement screen door. Maybe good for summer house but the ability not to control the heat is a issue.

A comfortable and accommodating stay.

I made arrangements for some friends of mine to stay here. Upon their arrival, they were immediately very impressed by all of the amenities this home has to offer and by its spaciousness. The host checked in to make sure my friends had everything they needed. He was also very responsive to questions. I'm thankful for his kind attentiveness and hospitality.

ITS A BASEMENT AND GROSS

Do not stay at this place. First off, the listing is a lie. It’s not the entire house! It’s a basement. You’ll spend your entire stay listening to kids running around on top of your head. Second, the deck is in terrible condition. The bedroom floor was wet and the bathroom has a really nasty film on the floor. The couch smells like urine and THE HOUSE IS NOT NEAR THE LAKE. The listing and the picture is deceiving and the house is a couple miles from the lake. Also, the treadmill doesn’t work.

Attentive and Impeccable

This is the second time I arranged for my friends to stay at this home. Once again, they were delighted with all of the amenities, the roominess, and cleanliness of the premises. Also, when help was needed (i.e. fuse popped) Fairus (the owner) responded very quickly and resolved the issues encountered. Thank you Fairus for being a wonderful host!

Not what I thought

The place was a basement of a house. Nothing personal about kids but wasn’t wanting to hear baby crying and loud walking above us all the time. My dog barked every time he heard a noise. It was very damp the shower had hair in it from the person before us. Crumbs on the floor when we got there. Dishes were not clean had to wash everything before and after using it. Grass was gross half mowed and long dead grass everywhere. The weeds were horrible everywhere . The “deck” looks nothing like the pictures boards are rotten and weeds growing up through it. Would not recommend. Walkway to it was also not safe

Not what was described:1. "Very gorgeous ('luxury') and located in the center of the Bloomfield township downtown"--there is no downtown in this area.2. "The ('terrace-level') loft space is detached from the main house that we live in" is particularly misleading. It is their basement, certainly attached to the house, directly below their living room. We could hear every step and conversation, kids playing, running, and crying, and smell food being cooked at all meals. Privacy non-existent.3. "Exercise facility" was a treadmill in the main room.4. Finicky, but if you only have a Keurig coffee maker, you should provide all needed pods. There were 4 provided, for 2 people for 8 days 5. That said, perhaps the inaccurate descriptions are due to a language barrier. The basement is large and the 2 bedrooms were as well. There is a small galley kitchen and a small dining table and a couple of couches. Lots of mirrors!6. All THAT said, we actually had to cut our trip drastically due to a situation at our home in another state, and we checked out after 2 days. Messaged the host explaining but never got a response. I think we would have had to find another option had we been able to stay, though--I don't think we could have remained there with our dogs for a full week.

Toilet overflowed, messeged host at 6p, left and went to concert, got back around 1230 am. Toilet overflowed again, we messeged host, no response. Called host, no answer. Where were we supposed to go to the bathroom?!?!?! I messeged vrbo support. They messeged host also, all while needing to go to the bathroom, we waited. Finally 830 in the morning host responds, brought dawn dish detergent to try and unclog toilet. Overflows it so bad it flooded bedroom i stayed in. Got some of my stuff wet with toilet water. No working toilet is a big problem. He did let me use his restroom, but didnt seem like his wife was very happy about it. Also, the door does not lock all the way on the outside, you can jiggle door and pop it open. On the inside, we used a piece of metal pipe and put in the trim to stop door from opening. If the toilet wouldve gotten fixed before we came back from the concert, i wouldnt be complaining at all.

Stunning basement apt

Wasn’t expecting to be in the basement of a big house with the owners on property ! It was nice and clean and very quiet in a great neighborhood of course ! The house was gorgeous but the walk way to get to the to the basement at the back entrance was a bit much for my sister who was on crutches and we had a lot to carry inside so several Lengthy trips wasn’t expected ! The Wi-Fi we never was able to get working and the only thing I would tell the owners is to make a printout with the info needed and leave on table would been nice cause she text me several times and the code kept coming in a masked discreet way i am not sure why . I spend two nights here and it was nice overall I am very satisfied with the place ! The pics just didn’t give me the same expectations ! It is not a loft by no means ! Also heat is controlled by the main property owners and I was told Use the space heater provided if I’m cold and that isn’t safe sorry ! But none the less well worth what we paid and no complaints overall I enjoyed the stay and would recommend !

Know What You Want

The place was not a loft, as advertised, but a walkout basement rec room area. It was beautiful and clean, in a great location, but you should know... The brick walkway to the back had 10 widely spaced steps and some uneven bricks; there might be some midnight noise; and the locks to the sliding doors are kind of awkward to use. Also, if you are booking in the wintertime, find out if there is any heat besides space heaters, and in any case make sure to bring adapters if you have three-prong laptops. You probably won't need a flashlight for that brick walkway at night, because the motion sensor lights go on, but it may be safer to bring one. If you're into cooking, know that you will have a 2-unit hot plate, a small air fryer, and a microwave to work with. A dryer was advertised, but we didn't see any, and did laundry elsewhere. No place is perfect, and if you can live with these limitations, this one will work. Just know what you want.
