Beautiful home. Loved that each bedroom had its own bath and shower. Loved the big picture windows and seating area looking out on beach. Perfect for family beach stay.2 downsides. Very small oven for such a large home. Many of the pans did not fit in oven. And I am not sure you could get a lasagna pan in there if you needed only other thing noted was toaster needs to be replaced. Only one side of bread got toasty because filament was outOtherwise lovely place. We enjoyed our time

The locatiin and home are fantastic. We wanted seclusion and we definitely got it. Great layout and loved the big deck with a pool. Bedrooms are nice and the beds were excellent. The chairs fir dining and the couch could be better, but not bad. It was great having two refrigerators for our 7 night stay. We will definitely look to stay here again.

Beautiful house! Clean home. Felt right at home. Beds were super comfortable. We were well rested every morning. Love the fact that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool. This house was beautiful and so much space. The kitchen was huge with a lot of storage. The beach access was easy and my family had the best time. We relaxed and reconnected.

Check-in was a breeze! The kitchen was fantastic. 2 full-size refrigerators and a walk-in pantry! So much room for our family to spread out in the living room, and the king beds and full baths in every bedroom are just some of the reasons we’ve already booked this property again next summer. Suggestions: add steps at the base of the beach boardwalk. Very difficult to navigate. Replace dining room chairs. Unstable and wobbly. Replace drip coffee maker.

Great Location

Wonderful location. Secluded for now. Lots of room and space for all 14 of us. The oven was extremely small for the space that had 2 dish washers. Not many pots and pans, but I bet that will grow the more people book this property. I left cutting boards which were also needed. Dining room table was too high or the chairs were too low and uncomfortable. The rest was perfect.

The Whole Family

This house has lots of bedrooms with ensuites, a small pool, two dishwashers! Our family had plenty of space. Lots of bonuses. Our only disappointments were the boardwalk to the beach. It starts out great then drops straight down to the beach. Not ideal for handicapped people, small babies or older individuals. It would be helpful if the boardwalk extended out and wasn’t quite so steep. And the lack of baby gates for all of the stairs. Those were our only concerns. We love the Fort Morgan area. Less congested than down the road.

Quiet Refuge

It is very private and a beautiful home. Lots of room and we all loved the big kitchen table the pool. There were a lot of stairs, but I brought baby gates and that solved that issue. There was no water filter but we brought our zero water filtration system so not a big deal. The kurig did not work, but the coffee pot was great.The trash situation is confusing and there needs to be clarity on that. I now understand why we already had a full trash can when we got there. As we age that could be a problem. My husband had to go all the way to the gravel street to get the trash can.Everyone loved it overall and we had an absolute amazing time.Debbie Barker

Outstanding Accommodations at Quiet Refuge

Quiet Refuge provided a perfect property for our girls' reunion. The 6 bedrooms with their own bathrooms allowed each of us our own personal space. The furnishings and overall decor were excellent. The great room with large TV was a perfect space for watching football games on the weekend. Everything was very clean welcoming and the area super quiet. Perfect beach access too. Just a few items of note / suggestions: The boardwalk to the beach needs a railing. Although we had no accidents, the walkway got quite slick with sand and water and could easily cause a fall. Also the driveway drop off when backing out and turning around is dangerous, especially in the dark. It would be good to have either a railing or fencing of some sort to prevent someone from driving off the edge. Another thing we noticed is that the upstairs stayed consistently hotter than downstairs. Even though the thermostat indicated a lower temperature, it got uncomfortable with the afternoon sun. Luckily during our stay in mid November we were able to open windows so that overnight it was cool enough to sleep. Finally, more detailed instructions for what to do with the trash receptacles should be indicated. The instructions I believe are generic for all properties, but we were confused as to where to take the bins because of the location of Quiet Refuge being in a gated area and quite a ways from the access road. We called and discovered that the management company would take care of transporting the bins for us on garbage day but that should be detailed in the information provided for this specific property. Oh, and I would also suggest stocking the house with additional “starter” items. We had the advantage of some of our group driving instead of flying and so could pack some things to bring with them. I have stayed in many different vacation properties and small items like salt & pepper are provided at the home, along with various other “staples.” Perhaps it's just that this home is so new and hasn't had many guests yet… All in all we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this vacation home to anyone traveling to the Gulf Shores area!

Beautiful beach home! We loved our week here and will definitely be back! Only con is the ramp out to the beach as it could definitely use a hand rail with the steep landing stepping onto the beach. Kitchen was very well stocked, bedrooms were spacious and comfortable.
