The Space:
Morning light spills across the valley as mist lifts from the hills, and the quiet feels expansive, broken only by the soft rustle of leaves. A gentle breeze carries the scent of pine, inviting you to breathe deeply and settle into the rhythm of the mountains. The yurt’s open design frames the sweeping view, letting you watch clouds drift while you unwind.
Sleeping arrangements
The yurt sleeps up to four guests in a studio‑style layout. A king‑sized bed anchors the main space, and a sleeper sofa provides the second bed. A loft above offers a quiet spot for reading, games, or simply enjoying a change of perspective.
Comfort and interior living
Inside you’ll find a full bathroom and a kitchen equipped for easy meal preparation, plus a Smart TV for relaxed evenings. A pellet stove supplies cozy warmth on cooler days, while air conditioning keeps the space comfortable when spring sunshine turns warm. Fast WiFi and a dedicated workspace make remote work or streaming effortless, and board games and comfortable seating encourage screen‑free downtime.
Outdoor living
Step onto the deck to take in the valley views or fire up the BBQ grill for an al fresco meal. The hot tub invites you to soak under a sky that shifts from bright blue to soft twilight, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. A fire pit provides a gathering spot for stories and stargazing when the evenings grow crisp. Free parking on the premises and additional street parking are available.

Thanks again for staying with us. We’d love to welcome you back anytime. :)
Wow, we can’t say enough about this spot. Private, beautiful, comfortable, great location, well stocked. All you could want for a romantic getaway (but there is also room to bring the kids if you wanted to! But you won’t want to once you see it!) Communication great. Absolutely no notes: 5/5! (We did pick up a tick hiking…please make sure you do a thorough check.)

About the host
Hosted by Tony Cappaert
I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.
What makes this property unique
We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and this cabin in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
