The Seacrest as a whole was fine. We had to call the housecleaning service because our sheets were so thin they wouldn't stay on the bed and there was no mattress pad on the bed. The bathroom needs some shelves because there isn't room for personal items. It would also be nice to have hooks on the inside of the bathroom & bedroom door. The rugs in the kitchen and family room area hadn't been cleaned for some time. There were no clocks anywhere in this unit except for the microwave. The closet in the bedroom was full of stuff. We did have a great time. We have stayed in Gulf Shores for years. We aren't trying to be picky, but feel like this particular unit needs some attention.
This condo does have a great view of the beach! It was very roomy, and nice to have an elevator to get all of your stuff up to the room. It is located on the west part of Gulf Shores, which is quiet and perfect for a relaxing weekend. I also noticed the clean smell as soon as we walked in, and the place did seem pretty clean. My only complaint/suggestion is that this unit needs to be updated. We got a condo because we wanted a kitchen to cook to save money. The stove is pretty old and there are NO numbers on any of the dials. When we were cooking with the oven, we had to guess the temperature. The furniture is very outdated and the mattresses and pillows are not very comfortable and seem pretty old. I'm in my mid 30's and my back hurt every morning from the lumpy bed. The sink in the bathroom needs to be replaced as there is a ton of rust in it that is not very appealing.
Overall, this place is in a great location and has a great view of the ocean. I would stay here again only if there were no other condos available. To the owner: Please do some investing in your property. It will be worth it in the long run because people will want to come back. Make the place pretty. The dated decor and the overwhelming number of palm trees is unattractive. My grandmother might like it, though.
These pictures are old, same furniture though. The condo is neglected by the owner and shows as worn. The bed is hard and pillows are lumpy; tv's are old and stations keep cutting out; fridge has holder missing on door - unable to use that shelf; nice size closet but remember to bring your hangers (only 3 are provided), balcony furniture needs replaced - table is metal and is rusted and paint chipping off everywhere and one of the plastic chairs is missing a leg (guess how I figured that out); kitchen table place mats are stained but they are covering up burn marks on the table; bathroom sink has rust in it; mold is around the a/c vents; mold and/or dirt is all over the side of kitchen counter (prob where everyone leans their beach bag next to: rust all over the side of fridge; mold in tracks of patio door; dryer lint catcher prob hasn't been cleaned out in a year, over two inches of lint plus there's more in the hose I couldn't reach. The building itself is nice, pool is cleaned daily and wasn't too crowded. Would stay in this building again but definitely in a more updated condo. I've paid less and stayed in much nicer condos.
Great view, has covered parking++, all the stuff you need.
