the house is part of the sarasota architectural heritage of modern homes. much of florida is a sort of faux mediterranean pastiche but this house has character and is casual and simple. it is also very private and the garden surrounding the pool is tranquil and lush.

on a quiet dead end street with little traffic but still very close even walkable to shopping restaurants and bikable to the beach.

Wonderful house!
This mid-century modern house is so comfortable! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Attention to detail throughout...the only missing items were martini glasses. We purchased some to make our stay complete. Thank you, Bill, for sharing your lovely house with us!
Beautiful home in lush tropical setting
My wife and I were able to relax and unwind in this beautiful home. The pool is gorgeous and solar heated, which means you can swim early in the morning without fear! The kitchen is well-equipped to cook meals, with all the little things you need like spices and oil and vinegar and utensils. Trader Joe's and Starbucks and a great fish market are a stone's throw away, and the home is strategically located between Siesta Key, Downtown Sarasota, the Myakka State River Park and I-95 (for easy access north or south). All in all you can't go wrong with this place.

Thanksgiving visit
3 of us stayed at this lovely home for 5 days the week of Thanksgiving. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood close to everything. The house is owned by artists and as a result there is beautiful artwork everywhere. A great lap pool and beautiful back and side yard makes this house a great find! We enjoyed it immensely! There are a couple of things. The first is that because it was terrific weather we had no need for air conditioning. However, 2 of the 3 dedrooms do not have windows that open. The master suite does and we enjoyed a nice breeze at night. The other bedrooms do have windows, they just don’t open. Also, the outside of the house by the pool could use a bit of sprucing up and a bit of fresh paint. These2 things aside, it was a great rental which we would come back to.
