This is a very beautiful home with loads of character. If you are expecting cutting edge technologies, this isn't for you but if you are looking for a beautiful, traditional villa with magnificent views , a wonderful big , well kept pool and a host that has your well being in mind , then you have a perfect place.
We travelled there with our two daughters , six and eleven Years old. The girls loved the place , there was loads of space in the garden to play and the pool was a magnet for them. I loved having my swim early morning and late at night, the pool is large enough to give the adults the space and also has a shallow part at the front half for the not so confident swimmers.
The villa is very well equipped to enjoy a break by the sea. The host left food items for us to enjoy and we really felt at home with all the books and music CDs. They even opened their bar for us to enjoy while we are there. ( Nice to have a glass of your favorite tipple by the tool admiring the view).
The only suggestions I would make to the host is to add an Air Conditioning unit in the hallway, on the upstairs level, to keep that part of the house cooler, as when we were there the weather temperatures did soar and had a heatwave, so the ceiling fans couldn't cope and it would have been handy.
I`m sure they are sufficient though if there is no heat wave !
The area of Porto Heli and the surroundings have excellent clean waters and perfect snorkeling opportunities. The villa is situated just a sort drive ( 5 min ) from the port and it is a great base for exploring the surrounding villages and towns. The food around the resort is good quality and loads of organic produce at very good value for money.
We very much enjoyed the fresh fish straight from the boats by the harbour , excellent quality and good prices. Also try the local oranges, they might not look the part but they taste great and make great orange juice !
Overall , a great break and we all enjoyed our time in this Porto Heli Greek home. Thanks Costis.
