About this property

The Smith House Retreat w/HotTub, Bikes, Game/Movie Room, 10mins to Frankenmuth

Built in 1851, The Smith House defines vintage beauty from the ornate chandeliers throughout, to the grand staircase in the foyer.

This home was designed by our family in 2024 with specific intent to take you back through the years of the Victorian Era, Roaring Twenties, the 60's, all the way to Y2K with our lightly-themed rooms! (accommodates 19 people)

Our common areas exemplify trends of the 1920's, while keeping up with modern times. These areas provide your party with games, art supplies, books, toys, an extensive collection of records complete with first floor speakers, plenty of relaxing room and Smart TV's (for the rainy days).

Breakfast supplies include fresh baked bread, half gallon milk, h/h, 1 dozen eggs, sausage, oatmeal, pancake mix, coffee/tea/cocoa, sugar/spices, etc.
Enjoy mornings with our coffee bar, and nights with our Bartender's cocktail kit located in our "Uncorked Pine" Speakeasy!

The speakeasy is complete with kitchenette, movie room, wii, indoor games, ping-pong, darts, foosball, and other hidden gems for your party to enjoy!

Let's go outside:

We provide bicycles to enjoy the BEAUTIFUL nationally-recognized trails that connect Vassar to Frankenmuth and oh ya....not to mention the mere 1 minute bike trip to all of the conveniences of downtown Vassar

Hop on over to German-town Frankenmuth and enjoy diverse restaurants, outdoor/indoor activities for kids and adults, festivals, (dog) parks, splash pads, etc.
After a long day of biking, relax in our private 8-person hot tub or out by the firepit in the back yard.

We had a great stay! There was such much attention to detail, it really just felt like a home. Breakfast items were left in the fridge for us, provided by the host, which made that firat morning fantastic! Lots of little touches, and tons to do!

Perfect for what we needed

This is a beautiful, historic property that fit 15 of us celebrating a Bachelorette weekend. Plenty of activities if you’re staying at the house and only 15 mins from Frankenmuth. The hosts communicated well, the house was clean and organized when we arrived, and check out procedure was simple.

80th Birthday Celebration with Family

Our group ranged in age from 80 to 16. We had plenty of space for our group of 13 to sleep and enjoy all of the indoor and outdoor activities available. We thoroughly enjoyed listening to the records and playing cornhole, ping pong and darts. The amenities provided were exceptional and impressive! A great way to celebrate our mom and Nana's 80th Birthday and spend time together.

Comfortable and cozy

We lacked nothing at this house. Plenty of room to stretch out and relax with family or alone. Loved the big dining table for all of us to sit at. Being in town we got to see the side street close and a fall festival was going on. There was even a band right on the corner by the house , you felt like part of the community. Would definitely stay there again.

Historical Stay

Beautiful house with a lot of history. Very nicely decorated had all the amenities. The owner was very easy to communicate with. Kids had a lot of games to choose from. We played the corn hole. Ladies weekend

Very in love with the SmithHouse. First above all, our host was absolutely amazing from day one until we checked out. Very beautiful home. Very spacious and unique. Every room is themed. Very clean and stocked. We appreciated all the amenities. Very short driving distance from our day trip to Frankenmuth. Very lovely, all 11 of us ladies enjoyed our stay very much. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Full of surprises!

An incredible property with every thoughtful detail included! Each door we open led us to another wonderful surprise. The pictures cannot capture just how unique and beautiful this property is. Mackenzie was an amazing host with quick communication and an easy going manner. There is something special for everyone here- games and kid spaces, huge dinning room table to gather at, wonderful hot tub to relax in, and even a stocked pantry with all those little things you forget!

Impressive place to stay

I recently rented a fantastic vacation house that was perfect for my family and our furry friends. The house was not only spacious and clean but also had all the dog materials we needed, including water bowls and a lead for the dog to roam the yard. The outdoor area was amazing. We enjoyed grilling out on the patio and relaxing in the hot tub while our dog played in the yard. The house was also equipped with many outdoor game that were very much enjoyed by everyone. Inside, the house was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking meals, and the living room was cozy for relaxing after a day of exploring. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this rental house and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pet-friendly vacation rental. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and we can't wait to come back again in the future.
