Guestbook comments from the owner

We were delighted to have you and your family stay in The Old Summer House. We are glad to see kids enjoy the out of doors, by the pond, riding the pedal carts or running barefoot in the yard. You are right, the firepit is only a request away. It was slow in coming out of storage due to the cool, rainy weather this spring.

Hope to see you all again.

Very picturesque, relaxing and fun for families.

This is our second stay here and we love the setting for its authenticity and tucked away feeling. The clip clip of horse and buggies passing by is lovely and the hosts are so friendly yet not intrusive. Our kids love the pedal carts, swing and playhouse!

This location allowed us to explore several areas (Strasburg, Intercourse, Hershey, etc) from a good base.

Be sure to visit Lapp's Dairy down the road in New Holland, super fun for the kids and if you go about 4-530 range you can watch the milking.

Thanks for everything, Mr. & Mrs. Stoner!

The property was really nice!

This Summer House is so sweet! We would've loved to stay longer, but could only come for the weekend. This place will be nice to visit again when the weather is warm. The House had everything we needed.

Beautiful property

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed our two-night stay in the Summer House. The property owners were very welcoming and the space was very homey. Beautiful location for a wedding! There were actually two receptions taking place on site the weekend we were visiting. Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you Karen and Dennis. We hope to stay again in the future.

The cottage was great, everything we needed plus it was a piece of history. The surrounding area was absolutely gorgeous. Karen and Dennis were marvelous hosts. They went above and beyond to help us with all our needs, even so far as to ask about our baby's nap before they mowed. You will not be disappointed with property!
