About the host
Hosted by Kendra Carrillo
I’ve spent over two decades working in Parks & Nature, including years in field operations and ranger roles. That experience shaped how I care for people, land, and community. I know the Gorge well and enjoy helping guests connect with the area in a way that feels safe, grounded, and meaningful. Hosting gives me a chance to share the trails, waterfalls, and quiet places I’ve come to know over a lifetime.
Why they chose this property
I chose this neighborhood because it sits at the Gateway to the Gorge, a landscape I’ve worked in and cared for over two decades. Being able to share this area with guests — the trails, the river, the scenery — is something I value. The location also offers the convenience of being steps from Edgefield and a short walk to downtown Troutdale.
What makes this property unique
The home reflects my background in Parks & Nature — simple, welcoming, and connected to the landscape around it. After more than twenty years working in the Gorge, I designed this space to be a comfortable base for exploring the area, attending concerts, and enjoying everything the region offers.
