Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m sorry to hear parts of the stay didn’t meet your expectations. The sofas in the condo are convertible futon‑style couches, which do tend to be on the firmer side, though you didn’t mention what specifically felt uncomfortable. We haven’t received similar comments before, but we’ll certainly keep your note in mind.
You also mentioned concerns about cleanliness, though nothing was reported at check‑in. Each turnover is followed by a quality‑control inspection, and had we been made aware of any issues, we would have immediately sent our cleaning team to address them for you.
Regarding the Sprinter van, the community’s rules—also noted in the listing—do not allow these vehicles on the property, even with a handicap placard. Since this wasn’t disclosed prior to arrival, it created a challenging situation for both you and the owner. I’m glad we were ultimately able to resolve it by you arranging a rental car and covering half the cost to help you remain in compliance during your stay.
We truly hope you were still able to enjoy your time at the condo, and we appreciate you sharing your thoughts.
Very nice place, even the neighbors were friendly. (surprising...not everyone likes vacation renters) Liked the welcoming gift bag with kitchen and bath soap, toilet paper, laundry detergent, even a small beach towel.....nice touch!

It was so convenient to everywhere! It was a quiet area, very restful. It was equipped with everything I needed. Appreciated the Kpod coffee maker.
My only negative was when I booked it was winter rates that they quoted rather than summer rates.
Dana Point - 10, Location of Condo - 10. Management Company - 10. Great walk to the beach through the golf course. Not sure why people rate this condo as a 10/10 however. Gigantic tub needs to be removed, make more room to the toilet. The 2 leather sofas need to be tossed, very uncomfortable. Lots of things need to be thrown out and replaced. Towels and sheets were very nice.

Thank you Carl. We'll be sure to pass these comments to the owner about the two futons. The shower / tub is larger than most, however, it doesn't impede the use of the bathroom. 'Lots of things' isn't that helpful of a comment. If there was an amenity that needed replacing it would have been more helpful to notify is during your stay and we would have replaced it.
Place is ok. Biggest downside is the toilet is too tight and the lighting is poor. I don't really like property managers because they are not personable. Got locked out once because of a faulty lock. Great location.

Cary, thank you for the review. The tub / shower is oversized and noted in the advertising and photos so that shouldn’t have been a surprise. I’m sorry that you didn’t find us personable.
When you locked yourself out, our maintenance team went over immediately to address the issue to get you back in. We received feedback that their experience with the two women in your party were less than kind to them. We were unsure if the third lady was staying as a guest or just visiting but there were only 2 of you on the booking and we let that pass. They also found the lock unopenable, but they advised you that Vicki, our office manager, would be right over with a spare key. Our office is about 5 minutes away.
She arrived to find you gone as you took it upon yourself to go get coffee. It would have been courteous to let us know that because Vicki waited for you to come back so she could let you know what happened and why you couldn’t get in. There is one button that sticks every so often and requires a little WD40 but the lock is fine.
It’s noted in several places as a reminder and we request you carry a key, just in case. When you finally arrived and Vicki found out that there were still the two provided keys in the condo you told her ‘I don’t carry keys, I drive a Tesla’. In case that happened again, Vicki gave you her business card with her personal cell number so you could contact her directly.
We’re sorry that you believe our service wasn’t very personable, however, we would still enjoy having you and your wife as our guests the next time you’re in Dana Point.
Location was good. Access to lots of restaurants and the beach is within walking distance.
Easy communication with the host.
The community seems to have lots of rentals as there were a lot of people coming and going with rental cars. Not bad necessarily, just something to be aware of.
All in all, served it’s purpose and I would stay here again. Can’t beat the price!
I totally enjoyed staying at this property. I wanted something close to my son and grandchildren and this worked out perfectly. I could walk to his house, the beach, the plaza, the movies, project social...The walk around the golf course to salt creek beach was great!
The only reason I gave this property a very good instead of excellent, was the absence of the washer and dryer in the condo itself.

Hi Christine. Thank you for the kind review. There is a full size washer & dryer in a closet off the balcony closest to the bedroom. I'm sorry that you didn't find that amenity.

Great Beach Condo
This was the cutest condo! The location is great! Easy walk to the beach through a beautiful golf course with great views. It’s also situated right near the pool and hot tub in the complex. The balcony gets great morning sun which made it so nice to sit out and have your morning coffee!! The condo is nicely decorated and very clean and neat. It gets great natural light. Has everything you need for a short or long stay. The king size bed is very comfortable. I would recommend this condo. We loved it and will be going back!!

It was clean, bright, uncluttered, and surprisingly spacious. I appreciated the stone and laminate floors instead of wall-to-wall carpeting. A welcome bag contained all the types of essentials plus a great snack! So nice to be able to settle in from night one. There was a K-cup plus a Mr. Coffee brewer. I’m a big toaster oven fan, and there was one of those. The fridge produced ice and filtered water. The two leather or leather-look futons in the living room added to the clean appearance and would have guven 2 adults spacious sleeping. A bonus was the walk-in closet, almost the size of a small bedroom. My only concerns were getting in and out of the shower which involved me, at 5 feet tall, doing some gymnastics. A person with poor balance or inflexibility might not have handled it. I saw no recycling bins at the complex which seemed outdated. Otherwise it’s an excellent value for the money. Walk to Moulin Bakery at least once!

You get what you pay for..
The location and price of this property is the best it has going for it. Balcony overlooks a parking lot and dumpster. It’s noisy in the early morning with different residents starting their cars and throwing out garbage. Bathroom is awful. Sink located outside of bath in bedroom. If you’re over 200 lbs I don’t know how you’d fit on the toilet as your wedged between the wall and giant jacuzzi tub. Shower only has one setting.. hot. Quite frankly I’d be worried about a law suit as it’s very dangerous crawling in and out of the tub. Mattress is hard as a rock and pillows were like sleeping on air. Couches look nice but are extremely uncomfortable. No arm rests to lean against. Refrigerator constantly made a winding sound. AC is loud and doesn’t produce cool air. Property manager stated they had beach chairs.. the absolute worst beach chair I’ve ever sat in. Child sized, no arms, can’t recline, straight backed with no pockets for storage. If it wasn’t so cloudy I would have bought some to use and pass along. This owner needs to invest $50 and get some proper beach chairs for his guests that are coming to SoCal to enjoy the beach! Do yourself a favor and spend more money for a nicer place. If you don’t care about comfort then this is the place for you!

While this condo doesn't have an ocean view but it doesn't look directly into another rental and it's hardly a 'dumpster' view. This home is in a condominium which means living close to neighbors and sharing walls and open spaces. There is a certain amount of noise factor to be expected in condo living. As you can tell by the other reviews other guests haven't had such an experience.
May is notoriously cloudy in Southern California - we call it 'May Grey'. Our sunniest months are July, August, and September so if you come back you may consider coming then.
We were unaware of the beach chair issue and we'll be purchasing new chairs and if you noticed there were issues with the refrigerator and the a/c it would have been more helpful to let us know during your stay so we could address it instead of complaining about it in a review after checking out. We'll be sure to address those issues immediately. Thank you for your feedback.
My wife and I spent 2 weeks at 56F Corniche in Dana Point.
Pros:
A swanky condo complex adjacent to the Ritz Carlton and Monarch Bay Resorts,
A convenient concrete pathway through the golf course to the beach about 15-20 minutes walk.
A well outfitted kitchen with all the gadgets and utensils one would likely need.
A king-sized bed, roomy walk-in closet, gas fireplace and washer/drier in the unit.
An excellent stainless steel charbroil gas grill that was easy to use and heated up fast.
Two large smart flat-screen TVs with cable programming and DVRs
40 MBPS wireless internet.
Three very nice hot tubs that were always 103 degrees.
Covered assigned parking
Cons
We stayed during a painting project of all the outside surfaces of all the buildings which greatly disrupted our enjoyment of the place, but after completion, probably within a month or so, it will never likely affect future visitors for at least a decade, so I'll say no more about it.
There were several mechanical issues which necessitated visits by a handyman contracted by Vacation Concierge the property management company. Miswired light switches, a very wobbly kitchen faucet, patio screen doors always off the track, etc. Response on some issues was rapid and effective, but others remained unrepaired during our stay.
While the shower itself was excellent, climbing into the jetted tub to use it was awkward and would be difficult for someone with physical limitations.
The toilet is wedged in between the tub and wall so closely that large people would have trouble using it.
The living room couches are attractive to look at, but not very comfortable.
The bed has a very soft foam topper which one of us liked and one did not, but regardless of comfort, it caused the sheets to come untucked every night.
The washer, while very nice to have, was the loudest I have ever heard. We were almost embarrassed to use it.
There are a lot of people housed in, these 2 and 3 story buildings, and continual activity from service people like gardeners, remodelers, trash collectors, etc. that resulted in a lot of daytime noise. Fortunately it's pleasantly peaceful at night.
Overall, without painters and if the mentioned mechanical items were repaired, this could be a wonderful property, especially in light of the reasonable rental rate, Vacation Concierge was easy to contact, responsive, and empathetic to our concerns. Our deposit was promptly refunded. I gave it 4 stars.

Thank you for your thorough review. This condo is in building 52, not 56, in case anyone is reading this response. The faucet has been replaced and the owner, who is the next guest in after your stay, will be reviewing the sliding door. It was unfortunate there was work that was being done during your stay but we hope that refunding the equivalent of two nights stay for the inconvenience helped offset a bit of the interruption. We enjoyed having you as our guests and hope that you think of us the next time you come to South Orange County.

We loved this little condo. We enjoyed Southern California-whale/dolphin tour which is close, drove to San Diego, visited friends in the area, walked to Salt Creek Beach. It was a great location, and the condo was perfect for the two of us.
Really enjoyed our stay in Dana Point. Nice gated community. Very pretty property and well kept. Met several very nice permanent residents who were very helpful in giving us information about restaurants, beaches, etc. Pool and hot tub area were very nice. Covered parking was great. Condo was really nice and well laid out. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Two TVs with lots to watch via streaming. King bed was very comfortable. The only complaint we had was with the living room seating. The two leather futons were very uncomfortable and they were the only seating options.
Cute and comfortable unit. Well supplied. We enjoyed the location and access to the beach. We would definitely rent here again.
