Unique. Stay literally above the water. Unbelievable water views in the largest bay (Lido Bay) in Discovery Bay. Feels like you're on an island. Access to water toys, swimming , fishing and other water sports just by stepping out into the backyard. Beach is so close by, you can paddle board to it! Of all of Discovery Bay, we are 1 of maybe 3 homes, if that, to have the water underneath your feet. See pictures of location. For you captains, come by boat, or for you land lovers, come by car, no matter what, come to enjoy a peaceful stay at this large 2-bedroom home with additional sleeping areas in Discovery Bay. Available space to dock 1 boat. Boat Owners welcome. Please no boat parking if you are renting your boat. Boat owners, please send your Boater's Card as verification.

This gorgeous property offers a quaint and cozy atmosphere that will make guests feel right at home. In addition to the spacious bedroom, the living room with a Queen Murphy bed and a futon provides additional sleep space. Simply unwind in this peaceful retreat, this rental is the perfect choice. Please note: This is a hosted rental property which means that we, the owner, live on the upper level of the house. The entire lower level has it's own front door entrance.

There is NO Kitchen with cooking provisions in the unit; however there is a BBQ grill with side burners on the dock.

You have access to the dock and the lake / Delta, but at seldom times we may need to use the dock as well, but we have our own access to the dock so you will not be disturb; but please understand the dock may be shared between us. We understand your privacy is important, so most likely, we would not use the dock during your stay unless in emergency

We are a quiet family in a quiet neighborhood so no events, loud parties, raves, drugs or other nuisance. This rental isn't for you if you're into those things. This is not a Party House and that's strictly enforced.

This waterfront property is unlike any other. Up close water views because you're literally staying above the water. Just stare out and take in the views from the living room with its huge windows. Enjoy both the sunrise and sunset from your living room or just imagine having a romantic diner with a waterfront view.

This was the most lovely little apartment, so comfortable and cozy. ! I enjoyed my stay very much. Loved being on the water, eating my breakfast on the deck, watching the birds on the bay and the sun coming up through the palms. I will definitely stay here again.

One night stay on short notice

We unfortunately had to attend an unexpected funeral and needed a place to stay on very short notice. We thought a VRBO would be nicer than a hotel. This house had beautiful views, it was clean and the owners were very accommodating and responsive. Next time we come, I hope to enjoy the water toys!

Perfect location, beautiful views

Stayed here with 2 friends 50+ while we played out on the Delta during the day. Perfect spot to park my boat and then chill/stay the night. We then had a beautiful morning ski the morning after. Highly recommend!

We are locals in the area, so we knew this location is definitely the best bay. It was a holiday weekend, and we needed a place for extended family to stay. The apartment is okay but is “equipped” inadequately. There are coffee cups but they’re tiny, there was a pot to boil water but only a very large one, there’s martini glasses but no wine glasses, there’s 8-10 pillows but they were all awful. There were 10 bath towels but only 1 wash cloth. The owner was nice And being on the water is great.

We are a friendly, quiet, middle aged couple with two kids under 18 and several parrots. We love the area in which we live and would like to share that joy with our short term guests. We are looking for guests that are the same who wants to get away from the chaos of life and just looking for a quick getaway in a quiet and family oriented setting in which you can unwind and take in the views and serenity that this place offers. Discovery Bay is known as a water community and golf community with many things to do on the water and surrounding areas. It's not known to be a crazy, raving party central like San Francisco or other urban setting so if you're looking for that, then Disco isn't for you. Upon arrival, you'll have a welcome guide with many things to do such as swimming, fishing, paddle boarding, pedal boating, kayaking or other water activities. There's golfing, hiking, shopping, vineyard nearby. Plenty of things to do. Come visit us.

Why they chose this property

Discovery Bay in general is an amazing community. We fell in love because we are the type of family that doesn't like crowded spaces and the city life. It's just far enough from the city but not too far so everything is just within reach. What's especially great about our specific location is that it's close to fast water, it sits in the largest bay and the backyard faces north so we enjoy the views 24/7 without the blinding sun in our eyes. Location is so important and it takes us 3 to 5 minutes to reach fast water compared to other locations in which it can take up to 50 minutes before you're allowed to go fast on your boat. Since our bay is the largest, water is much nicer compared to all the other small and shallow bays in which there's lots of algae and weeds. Some bays, the weeds are so bad, it restricts boating and you can't swim or take your boat out; especially at low tides because it'll foul your propeller or it's gross to swim with weeds touching your legs. It's probably no wonder why there's an annual event called "Lido Bay Float Out" in which people are invited at no charge to come by boat, swim or paddle on over to Lido Bay to mingle, dance, sing, drink, socialize and party right here in Lido Bay. It's like a concert with a band on a floating barge with the crowds in the water. Come experience water life with us.

What makes this property unique

Our house is very unique in many ways. Unlike most homes in Disco which I guess is 99% of homes are offset from the levee and sits entirely on land, half of our home is built directly above the water and you are literally living above the water; see the picture. You can actually just drop a fishing line off a window to fish, no casting necessary. Another thing we love about the home is the location. 3 parts of the location makes this home amazing. First part is that it's in a circle so the home feels like you're living on an island because there's hardly any car traffic during the day and no traffic at night; you just hear the breeze of the wind, water lapping and nature singing. Second is that the home backyard is facing north and since Disco is all about backyard living, you're protected against the harsh, hot sunlight and can spend all the time without the blinding sunlight in your eyes. Third is that the home is sitting on the largest bay in Disco. It's perfect to do all the leisure activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding / boating, etc; so it's safe from all the busy boating activities that occurs near the marina. Our house has very large windows to take all the scenery in. See the pictures in the property listing and you can see that our house gets the beautiful views of both the Sunrise and Sunset. It's really a joy to be in this location. BONUS: When we bought this property, we were delighted to find out there was a sandy beach so close by that we can just paddle there. Once there, often times, you're just there by yourself so it feels like a private beach.
