A Southern styled vintage house, authentically from the 40's that has been renovated to have both a mix of today's modern life with a vintage layout and charms.

Less than 10 mins WALKING distance to Birmingham Southern College, 15 mins WALKING distances to Legion Field. 5-10 mins drive to UAB & St. Vincents Hospitals, the airport, downtown, golfs, parks, some of Birmingham's finest restaurants and night life.

A great high 9 ft.+ ceiling three bedrooms, two full bathroom historical house with large front covered porch furnished with rocking chairs, bench, dining table with chairs, and lots outdoor sitting area. It has two cars garage at alley with fenced back yard for easy access to the house without walking on the stairs at front. Large living room with wood burning fireplace, beautiful formal dining room and fully equipped large kitchen and bath. Cleaning hardwood floors throughout. It has King bed at master bedroom has private bathroom and smart tv, two queen beds and one full bathroom in the hall. Lots spacious closet space in each bedroom. Bed and bath linens provided, smart TVs, wifi, etc.This is a very nice, clean, and fully equipped-furnished house. A chance for at-home feel for the price of a hotel.

Kitchen was lovely. Loved the old built ins in the kitchen and living room. So much charm! We felt safe and it was a quiet neighborhood. Lovely front porch. Garage was nice to have. It was a very comfortable vintage/modern home to stay at and would stay again.

Clean, cozy and convenient home in quiet neighborhood. This is a spacious charming older home with modern updates. The only mishap was a little miscommunication with the host. If I ever return I would definitely come back here.

Nice Spring Break Trip

The House is convenient for the Interstate and thus most of Birmingham is a few minutes away.The house was built in 1935 and has been sympathetically updated while still retaining the more classic feel. Although a little early in the season it has a huge porch showing where people used to spend time before AC.The kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook for yourself.In general a great stay.

We came for Barber motorsports event. It was convenient to Barber and. Downtown. Place was clean and comfortable. Excellent value. Neighborhood is seemingly in transition with some nice homes being well maintained and a few that needed a lot of work and maintenance.

SEC tournament

We stayed here while attending the SEC tournament Hoover. This property allowed easy access to and from Hoover Met Complex. Extremely clean. Perfect for a family!

This extremely clean house came with everything you could possibly need. The front porch was the perfect place to sit and enjoy the neighborhood. The keureg coffee and goody basket were a nice touch. We felt completely at home and relaxed.

Good choice

The host was very responsive, polite, and helpful. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the amenities were nice. There was a water pressure issue, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. The only thing I’ll say is that some parts of the neighborhood are getting run down. I wouldn’t go so far is called it a bad neighborhood.. But it’s definitely seen better days. On the flipside, the neighborhood was pretty quiet and it’s very well located. Ubers got to us within about 10 minutes every time and we got wherever we needed to go in 15 minutes or less. Very good value for what you pay and I would stay again.

Quiet & Family Oriented

This was such a pleasant experience. Best party about it, the host actually ANSWERS the phone!!!! A few quick calls and everything was perfect! She even responded to text right away... The cabinets are filled with all the spices needed to prepare home cooked meals. Everything was clean. Loved the dining room, family room and front porch with a beautiful display of fireflies right after dusk. I won't forget this visit, ever!!!

Nice, quiet home

This home is an older, kind of historic home, but it's updated. When I say older, I mean it has lots of charm and fun architectural features that you don't see in today's new homes. It has lots of character. It's clean and quiet and the beds are super comfy. The house has everything you need. It was convenient to what we wanted to do. The only thing I would say is that the check in materials need to be updated a bit. We received three different sets of information and each had different garage codes, etc. It would be nice to have consistent directions. Overall, it was a great stay.

No Urgency/No Negotiation/Not a Fabulous Location

Showed up at the property at check in. No power. Tried calling emergency contacts to no avail. Could not reach either contact and one of those contacts, the owner, had her VM full. Then contacted VRBO and they tried to help and 2 hours later the owner finally contacted us. She was trying to get an electrician over, but it would be dark soon and there were no assurances it could be solved in a timely manner. She offered another property she owned that was smaller. This new property was only 2 bedroom/2 bath. We really were stuck with this option as this was the weekend of the Bama LSU game and there was no availability. So, we took it. The condo was ok but reeked of smoke. When we asked for a discount due to the smaller size and smokey smell, she claimed the condo was in a much nicer neighborhood, as opposed to the fabulous location claim of the original property, and the smoke was from the other condos. She would not negotiate. This was a very disappointing transaction to say the least.

Enjoyable stay

The house is spacious, warm, clean and uncluttered. It is a short drive from the interstate and Downtown so you can quickly get anywhere. The neighborhood is quiet, a mixed bag of nice and older/unoccupied-looking houses. Property managers, Suzy and David, were very welcoming and helpful in showing how to open & close the automatic garage door from the inside of the garage. Check-in and check out process was easy. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Great Stay!

Nice quiet neighborhood but close to Downtown Birmingham and all it has to offer just a short drive away. Spacious and Comfortable home with everything you need to enjoy your stay and a garage to park your car off the street. Large front porch excellent for relaxing, having a meal or drinks when the weather is nice. Excellent!

Beautiful renovated home
