Your Benezette adventure begins at this marvelous 3-bedroom tiny home. This beautiful property offers a cozy and comfortable stay for guests. The bedrooms feature a queen bed and three twin beds, ensuring a good night's sleep for everyone. With amenities like WiFi, a hair dryer, heating, AC, firepit, park-style charcoal grill, picnic table, hot tub (may not always be available), two 50" plus TVs with the highest package that Directv offers, a cell booster (most people do not need a booster; Verizon and Tmobile works best without booster), coffee pot (single and 10 cup), utensils, cups, pots, pans, air fryer, and more you'll have everything you need for a tremendous stay. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and a hair dryer. Plus, there's an additional space with a living room and a sofa bed for extra convenience. The lodge is under a huge metal building so you can even enjoy the outdoors on a rainy day. We'll be available to answer any questions while you stay at our place.
Benezette is the ”Elk Capital of Pennsylvania” and is located in the heart of the state’s wild elk herd, now numbering nearly 1,400 majestic animals. The best spot to start an elk viewing adventure is at the Elk Country Visitor Center on Winslow Hill (which is across the road from our property). The Mt. Zion Historical Park near Benezette is a beautiful and quiet place with an honor walkway and Civil War, Veterans, and Boy Scout memorials. The nearby Quehanna Wild Area features a spectacular White Birch grove in the Marion Brooks Natural Area. Most folks come here to just view the elk.
There are a few actual “viewing areas” where you can get out of your vehicle and view the elk and other wildlife; all within 3 miles of our property and all accessible by any licensed and insured motorized vehicle. There are many ATV, UTV, motorcycle, horseback, and hiking trails in the area. Many people bring their state road legal motorcycles and travel for miles just to enjoy the beautiful scenery around the area.
There are wineries and gift shops within a couple of miles. Fishing and hunting is great too. Many folks enjoy the local creek for swimming and it even has a rope swing. Bring kayaks and tubes for the local creek if you want.
Our Grand Lodge sits on 2 acres of land across the road from Elk Visitor’s Center in Benezette PA along with our Scenic Lodge (which is also a vacation rental https://www.vrbo.com/3544946?dateless=true). We also have a RV site next to the Scenic Lodge but that can only be booked when also booking the Scenic Lodge.
This is the heart of elk country. We often have elk and many other kinds of wildlife roaming through our property and even bedding down. Winslow Hill Rd is well known for being the best road to travel to see elk and our property borders this road. You can access this township road from our property by any licensed and insured motorized vehicle such as an ATV, side-by-side UTV, motorcycle, etc. There are plenty of trails and even township roads where you can ride your off road vehicles. There are a lot of hiking trails and even horseback riding trails. Horses and animals are allowed but any hoofed animal would have to remain trailered when not riding. Bring your bicycles because there is a lot of room for riding that is not on the main road.
If you love the outdoors then this is where you will want to be. Some of the biggest elk in the country come through our property. Cell service works with most carriers, but you can turn on WiFi calling on your phone or plug in our cell booster if need be. Deer, elk, turkey, squirrels, rabbits, birds, and other animals are spotted on the property daily (don’t worry we have never seen a snake).
We have added a shed full of outdoor games, water toys, child high chairs, pack and plays, outdoor play yard, etc
Have a friend with a RV?? We have a RV lot on site with 50amp electric service and water. RV users can bring pets but no pets in our Grand Lodge.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

The location was ideal for elk viewing and hiking. Just the right size for the 3 of us and had everything we needed. The hot tub was not working, which was disappointing. It could have been a little cleaner as there were crumbs/dirt on the furniture and floors and the soap dispenser was not filled in the bathroom. Overall, we had a good stay, but for the price I would expect cleaner and a hot tub as advertised.
It was cold, the water wasn't drinkable, they are cameras they monitor our coming and going. Advertise 2 TVs and there was only one. Only one garage bag to use. Big thing didn't like the owners watching us.

There is a lot I could write about concerning this guest, but mainly I am just going to address the things he/she wrote about. We had a horrible fire next door that took our neighbors life and flames shooting probably around 50ft in the air a couple of days before this guest arrived which apparently knocked out one of our thermostats. As with most things we tend to have backups. In this case the gas furnace wasnt working because of thermostat but we had an electric fireplace that was on and a Dr Heater ifrared portable electric heater which were both set at 68 degrees at time of arrival. I logged in remotely to my one working thermostat a half hour after walking them through adjusting temperatures on the electric fireplaces and i have a time stamped screenshot showing that thermostat reading 75 degrees and it being 38 degrees outside. I really don‘t understand how that is cold. As far as water is concerned we have it written as note 37 in house rules that we recommend you bring your own drinking water because Benezette has a lot of iron (house rules, directions, wifi password, entrance instructions, etc were not read by this guest even though we have all of the essentials clearly written up). As far as cameras go, yes we have cameras to protect us, our guests, and our property. This particular guest assumed we were “spying“ on her because we allowed her to bring her dogs and other guests next door saw that the dogs weren’t being picked up after and I reminded this guest of our rules once again. As far as TVs are concerned, we literally have two 55” tvs with Directv, smart apps, and one with a firestick as well. This guest had to unplug power to Directv receiver to get it to work probably because of the fire and causing it to need reset. As far as garbage bags are concerned we have one 13 gallon bag in trash can ready to be used and another one in bottom of trash can incase you need an extra. We also have a 4 gallon trash bag in bathroom. I honestly dont know how two people could accumulate 30 gallons of trash in a few days but maybe we need to consider storing more somewhere for guests. The owners watching us comment is 100% percent an assumption. We dont live local and as someone who actually installs camera systems for a living I understand their value and I am sure most of our guests do too.
Great location, nice trailer, but for price paid should have had improvements. Mattresses throughout trailer were horrible. For price paid that should have been first improvement. Also pillows throughout are aweful, and that should be an immediate improvement! Trailer is lacking much needed jacks/support underneath, Anytime someone walks thru trailer the whole living room area rocks, again easy fix and should have been done already for price they want to rent. They do mention bringing your own water, and thats probably not emphasized enough, I have bad well water where i live also and its nothing like this place, its really bad! TV/cable were nice, location is fantastic. For the price i think a couple creature comforts should have been upgraded for sure!

Hello! First of all I want to state thank you for staying with us. I was in the hospital from July to October waiting for a heart transplant and have been recovering from that every since, and for some reason I am just now seeing this review. Our master bed has a very expensive mattress in it and also $45 pillows. I am sorry they weren't to your liking. We often have guests contacting us about where they can get the same kind of pillows for their homes. The loft mattresses were not replaced at the time of your stay but were in storage waiting for someone to place in the loft. Since then, those mattresses have been swapped with expensive memory foam mattresses as well. The same $45 pillows should have been there during your stay though. As far as water is concerned, Benezette water has a lot of iron in it. We have thousands of dollars invested in to the water treatment in our properties and we have a water softener in place as well as replace the filters more often than required. Some people drink the water in the area but we usually always recommend bringing drinking water as stated in our house rules. Our prices are very competitive based on where we are located. I know you stated that it is a great location and I totally agree. We receive that compliment very often so thank you for being in agreement to that. I am also glad you enjoyed the TV service. We have the highest package that Directv has to offer; including all of the premium movie channels and sports packages.
