About this property
Cornerstone- Dog Friendly, Hot Tub, Wi-Fi on Broad
Summary:
Historic Studio Dog-Friendly with Hot Tub on Main Street Red Lodge
The Space:
Welcome to the Cornerstone @ Crossers Station, a cozy and charming studio located right in the heart of Red Lodge, just steps away from downtown shops, restaurants, and beautiful Rock Creek. The Red Lodge Ski Hill and Beartooth Highway are also just down the road, making this the perfect base for exploring the area.
This unique studio is rich in Red Lodge history. When the Beartooth Highway opened in 1936, Red Lodge businessmen established new roadside inns and services. The “Crosser’s Super Service and Auto Court” was one of the better-known stops, with the property originally housing a gas station and a motor inn motel. Today, the Cornerstone @ Crossers Station occupies one of the original structures, blending the charm of its history with modern comforts.
Perfect for two, this delightful studio offers a serene sleeping area with rustic touches and ample natural light, creating a peaceful sanctuary. The fully stocked kitchenette features efficient appliances and clever storage, ideal for preparing meals during your stay. Relax in the cozy living space with a gas fireplace and enjoy the well-appointed bathroom with sleek fixtures for a spa-like experience. The queen-size murphy bed with a high-quality mattress easily tucks away, creating more space to enjoy the inviting living area.
Step outside to a private patio area with a firepit, grill, and a hot tub (available year-round), perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. As an added bonus, you'll have breathtaking views of the Beartooth Mountains right from your doorstep. With its blend of history, comfort, and modern amenities, the Cornerstone @ Crossers Station offers the ideal retreat for anyone looking to experience the charm and adventure of Red Lodge, all within walking distance of everything this wonderful town has to offer.
Cornerstone is conveniently located kitty-corner to The Roosevelt Center, Red Lodge’s vibrant hub for art, culture, performances, receptions, conferences, and community gatherings. With both indoor and outdoor spaces designed for creativity and connection, The Roosevelt Center hosts a variety of events year-round. Stay at Cornerstone and be front and center for everything happening at this dynamic venue
The Cornerstone @ Crossers Station is 6.9 miles to Red Lodge Mountain
Please note that this home is not equipped with air conditioning and exterior video cameras are in use to verify noise complaints, confirm number of guests, confirm compliance with quiet hours
The Cornerstone @ Crossers Station is Dog-Friendly up to 2 dogs
If you have more than 2 people in your group and you would like space for friends and family to rent, the larger home on the property, The Base Camp @ Crossers Station, comfortably sleeps an additional 6 guests and is right next door! The main house has 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, a fully stocked kitchen, and also has a fun outdoor patio with a firepit and BBQ grill. Inquire with us if you would like more information on renting both properties.
Guest Access:
Guest(s) have access to the entire home and all listed amenities. This home does have owner closet that is off limits to guests. The areas that are off limits are locked.
The Neighborhood:
Red Lodge, nestled in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains, is a wonderful place to visit if you are looking for family fun, a place to touch the wild, or just a chance to let your hair down. Whether you are wearing Birkenstocks or cowboy boots, you will find something to do here. (Although downtown is paved and we even have sidewalks, Jimmy Choos are probably not a great idea!)
In winter the road ends here. Downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding and sleigh riding are just the short list of activities that you can do when visiting us.
In summer we revel in the Beartooth Pass opening. We are only 68 miles from Yellowstone Park, but plan on a good two to two and a half hours drive as the “Pass” is stunning in high mountain vistas, rocky cliffs, and jeweled lakes. The Custer National Forest is a haven for wildlife including elk, moose, mountain goats, big horn sheep, bears (black and grizzly), mountain lions and wolves. Golden marmots are often seen dashing across the trails. Golden and bald eagles often visit our area, as well as sandhill cranes and blue herons.
Getting Around:
Cornerstone has off-street parking. Red Lodge has a taxi service and Uber for transportation in the area. Red Lodge does not have a commercial airport. Guest(s) can fly to area airports and drive to destination. Area airports and approximate distance to Red Lodge: Logan International Airport (BIL) 60 miles, Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) 147 miles, Yellowstone Regional Airport (YRA) 64 miles.
Other Things to Note:
Guest(s) is allowed to have up to two dogs stay at the home during the visit. All dog(s) are required to be current on vaccinations. Guest(s) must clean up after animals and dispose of waste properly. Guest(s) must have a kennel for dogs when in the home and guest is not with the animal. Dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds. A minimum fee of $50.00 will be charged for each pre-approved dog over the two-dog limit. No cats allowed. Unauthorized animals or evidence of an animal on property can result in a minimum fee of $250 and/or your reservation being cancelled without a refund.
.The home is equipped with: bedding, pillows, towels, pots & pans, dishes, toilet paper & paper towels, garbage bags, dish soap, dishwasher soap, detergent for washer and propane or charcoal for the type of grill provided. No food or spices will be provided due to health regulations.
We provide a sample amount of soaps, shampoos, and lotion to get you started.
Red Lodge, Montana is a rural community that does offer internet and cell service throughout most geographic areas but, some locations are completely void of any internet or cell service. In town and within a 3-5 mile radius of downtown you will enjoy solid cell signal but during times when our population increases due to events, celebration (such as the Fourth of July), or emergency situations such as a wildfire you will notice that these online and cellular services slow down and sometimes, they can slow down to the point where you have to wait to place a call. We can’t do anything to help in these situations, so we encourage people to enjoy the freedom of being “unplugged” and to be patient.
Interaction with Guests:
Guest will receive emails and text messages prior to arrival date with directions and lock box code and pre-stay information.
