Not up to expectations/ somewhat mis-leading
View from terrace was great (best part). Location was good. Appreciated owner giving us some good recommendations for day trips.
Pictures were somewhat misleading; rooms were smaller. Bedding, towels, pillows - low quality.
One of single beds was very uncomfortable (rock hard). Master br was good but ensuite bathroom had somewhat of sewer odour (drains need attention?). Only take short showers; water will turn cold all of a sudden. Should be some info about how the dryer operates (not like North American dryers).
Rental fee was mis-leading. When we decided to rent, the fee was posted in Canadian $. VRBO charged our credit card in Euros. This resulted in a 15% increase.
The posting stated that parking was available; but it failed to mention that there's a daily fee.
We accidentally locked ourselves out on the terrace/patio; these doors automatically lock behind you (never experienced this in our travels before). Called property owner; she was rather perturbed but did arrange for someone to come and let us back in (waited an hour and a half). She didn't mention anything about charging us for this. However, funds were deducted from our security deposit for a locksmith's fee (dishonest because there wasn't any locksmith involved; just the lady the owner usually employs to give new renters the keys upon arrival). The situation was ironic; in the instruction binder it stated to call her anytime if you got locked out and she would arrange delivery of a key, but no mentionof any fee.
