Spacious and beautiful home

This rental is a beautiful and very spacious home. It is set in a very quiet community and has a backyard view into a forest yet you are just minutes away from grocery, restaurants, etc. The owners are very nice and responsive. The house easily accommodates several families as there are multiple rooms in which to gather. A dedicated children’s play room, two offices, family, living, and dining room. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals. We hope to come back and enjoy this rental again.

Comfortable & Spacious with few caveats

We stayed here as a family group for two nights for a nearby college graduation. The home was spacious, clean, and overall very comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and spread out. The host was responsive and courteous, which we appreciated.There were, however, a few things that future guests should be aware of:The dishwasher was nonfunctional, and we weren’t informed of this until after we had booked, but prior to arrival.The bathroom in the master bedroom has no door. This may make some guests uncomfortable.There is only one “TV” in the home, which is actually a projector with a pull-down screen. It worked fine for us, but it’s worth noting in case you’re expecting a traditional television setup.Despite these issues, the home served our purposes well and provided a good base for our weekend. With a few improvements and more transparency in the listing, it could be an even better stay.

Thanks for your feedback! While a dishwasher had not been listed as a feature, we have since installed a new one. We also specify no TVs in the posting to encourage non digital activity. Noted to highlight this in the house as well to mitigate any expectations. We will also post reminders to turn off lights when not in use and to remove shoes indoors. Thanks again.

Our family enjoys playing in the expansive backyard, board games, reading books, listening to music, and cooking in the roomy kitchen.

The neighborhood is conveniently located. It is far enough but not too far away from the City, and is a great point to visit more lovely areas further upstate such as Poughkeepsie, New Paltz, Albany, and beyond. The houses in the area have unique architecture with enough space between to offer more privacy.

Our home has a unique design and layout. The rooms are roomy, the vibe is a mix of grand lodge in a modernism meets postmodernism way.
