About the host
Hosted by Michael Harvey
Hi, I’m Michael! I’m a proud University of Georgia grad (Go Dawgs!!!) and also studied Finance and Accounting at the University of Virginia. After school, I moved to Atlanta and worked in finance for several years before discovering my true passion: hosting.
I started back in 2015 by renting out a spare bedroom, which quickly grew into remodeling a basement and eventually helping friends and family design their own vacation homes. What began as a side project turned into Host This Home in 2018, where I now get to focus full-time on creating comfortable, memorable spaces for travelers.
I also serve as Treasurer for the Atlanta Metro Short-Term Rental Association, where I work with other hosts to keep Atlanta’s short-term rental community strong and welcoming.
When you stay with me, my goal is simple: to make you feel right at home while enjoying everything our city has to offer.

Why they chose this property
I chose the Kirkwood area because it offers an ideal mix of character, convenience, and community. This neighborhood is rich in history and local charm, with tree-lined streets, craftsman homes, and a warm, walkable feel. Yet it’s also close enough for guests to quickly access Atlanta’s major destinations—restaurants, music venues, parks, and entertainment—without staying in a densely touristy zone.
What I especially like is the sense of immersion: guests can enjoy local cafés, stroll through nearby blocks, or take in the neighborhood vibe, then return to a comfortable, luxurious home base. It gives travelers both authenticity and ease—stay where locals live but with high-end amenities and thoughtful design.

What makes this property unique
This property stands apart because it offers six private bedrooms, a full game room, and upscale finishes throughout—built for large groups, families, or mixed travelers who want both space and style.
Each room is designed to be comfortable and distinct, allowing guests to spread out and still feel connected. The open living areas provide natural gathering spots without sacrificing sightlines or flow. The game room adds an extra layer of fun and flexibility—whether it’s for kids, game nights, or downtime in the evenings.
The home is brand new, so everything feels fresh, modern, and well considered. From high-end fixtures to smart layout choices, the space is intended to be both functional and elegant. Combining size, design, and location in this way is rare—this is more than a place to stay, it’s a destination itself.
