Cute Home in Downtown Florence - 4 BR, 2 BA, WiFi, Pet Friendly!
Come visit the Shoals and enjoy your stay in a one-of-a-kind home in the heart of Downtown Florence. Nestled in an older neighborhood within walking distance of great food, music, and art, this fabulous property offers a unique experience for guests who are looking for something a little different. Antique and vintage furnishings amid modern amenities make this a place to stay like no other.
The first floor boasts a two bedrooms, a full bath, living room, dining room, kitchen, and laundry. The living room has a 58" television with cable and streaming and the dining room has plenty of space to spread out and enjoy a meal or a game night. There's a full kitchen and laundry for your convenience. Coffee from local shops is provided as well as random other treats as they are available. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and televisions - the larger has a king bed and the smaller has a full sized bed.
The second floor has a cozy bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a full bath, and a large bedroom with two full-sized beds and a twin. Both of the upstairs bedrooms have televisions and window units to help the central air along (as is sometimes needed in an older home in the south).
The house is still in the process of being decorated and we are adding furnishings as we find the perfect pieces. We will update pictures along the way.
There is a nice sized backyard with a small concrete pad and glass-top patio set. there's also a small front porch. Parking is available on the street out front or in the backyard via alley access.
As dog parents with a larger breed, we are aware of the challenges presented traveling with our pets. We ask that you take your pet with you when possible or confine them if they are left alone. Limit their access to the furniture in the home as much as possible - any damages will be your responsibility. We also request that you keep your pets on leash at all times when outside. Upon request, we will gladly supply a large crate to keep your pet safe and happy.
More about the house:
715 was built in 1910 and has all of the quirks that you can expect with a home of that age. Access to the house in both the front and back involves a couple stair steps. Floors are not level and are, at times, a little wavy. Doorways are varying sizes and there are slight step-downs into some of the rooms. There are low ceilings in the kitchen and on the second floor and high ceilings in other areas of the house. The kitchen floor has recently been repaired. Leading up to the second floor, the painted wooden steps and small balcony have a low handrail. I'm sure there are other things that I will think of and add along the way.
More about the area:
715 is situated on a one-way street and is a seven block walk to the heart of downtown where you can find shopping, art, live music, and great local eateries and bars. There are events pretty much year-round so be sure to check the Visit Florence AL website to see what's happening during your stay. Most nights you should be able to find live music. The University of North Alabama campus is nearby and we are about a 20 minute walk to Braly Stadium, the current home to the UNA Lions football team.

Very welcome and communicative hosts, cute house with a fun mix of antique furniture and decor with modern appliances. Hope we can stay here on another trip to Florence in the future.
Host was easy to reach and responded quickly. Pet friendly, centrally located and plenty of space. We stayed here during an extended power outage at our home due to winter storm Fern. Easy access to restaurants, Publix and downtown.
Large, comfortable home within walking distance of downtown Florence. The place is cute and a bit quirky. We loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future.
Very clean, super host, everything there we needed plus a few surprises, and the host even thought about our pet! The area and neighborhood aren’t bad, just several close by are in process of being updated but many have already been done and look very nice. Great place to stay! We will be sure to stay here when in the area again.

We needed a place to stay for a long weekend while we visited some family. The home had everything we needed, accommodating a family of 4 plus a Grandma!
Large house, excellent location, great communication with management, the house is well stocked with supplies and has many interesting entertainment pieces provided inside
This was such a wonderful home to stay in my family for a long weekend. We were all so very impressed with everything in this house! The provisions they shared with us were such an added touch. My college niece and her boyfriend loved the variety of records provided. It was walkable to everything downtown in Florence and that was perfect for all that we were wanting to do. We will definitely have to stay there again!
The hosts were very quick to respond, the house was clean and central to town, and the owners paid great attention to detail. We had coffee, water, muffins...and everyone enjoyed our stay. Will definitely book again!
This property has ample space for gathering together with family. The location to downtown is an easy 10 minute walk. We all enjoyed the extra surprises provided by the owner. The owner was responsive to my questions and it was a great stay.
Our group of five women, all over the age of 70, had doubts when we pulled up to the house. Once we entered the house, we felt comfortable. Especially appreciate the chargers conveniently placed around the house. Thank you!
Was coming in town for a getaway, concert weekend, in our RV’s but due to the weather we decided to get a house.
It was good to pick one out close to the venue downtown and the description of the house was correct.
The house is old, but nice, and very clean.
We enjoyed our stay, and all said we would stay there again.
We enjoyed the historical home with updates very much. The king bed was very comfortable, we slept well. The kitchen was well outfitted. We appreciated generous supplies of tissues, toilet paper and towels. The proximity to our destinations was very close. I was concerned about the street parking but it turned out there was no reason. The historic district is streets away and walking and looking at the beautiful homes was very enjoyable.
Our family was traveling to attend our son’s graduation. The host was able to accommodate us with an early check in and surprised us with thoughtful graduation decor and a wreath in our son’s school colors on the door. The house was surprisingly large and could easily accommodate a family of 5-10 depending on sleeping arrangements. The house was well stocked and included items like water, coffee and snacks that we weren’t expecting but gratefully appreciated. We also enjoyed playing games together and did a lot of laughing. The house was in a quiet location that was close to everything. Our son will graduate with his Masters next year and we plan on staying in the same place!! Highly recommend the house and the host!
The lock on the doors in the front and back would only let you come in and out of the door you previously used. If you went out the front it made you come back in the front. Other than that and flooring situation that they already mentioned, it was a nice stay.

Thank you so much for your feedback. The locks are a new addition to the home and we weren't aware that there would be an issue like that. We'll be sure to look at it and get it fixed.
The kitchen floor has been repaired. I apologize that we were unable to get that completed before your visit. We did consult with contractors before your stay to ensure that it was safe.
A group of girlfriends stayed for 5 nights. We chose this house because it provided 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a spacious place to hang out and cook meals together. Kitchen was well-equipped for fixing meals at the house. The main dislike from our group was the decor. The owners may have been aiming for an eclectic, vintage look, but our opinion was that it ended up more like a mish-mash of mis-matched thrifted items. (I know decor is very subjective, but that was the collective opinion of 4 ladies.) We suggest sticking with a few higher-quality items and pictures with one main theme or color scheme per room. There were quite a few "decorative" items scattered about on countertops, etc. Consider leaving more empty space & shelves where travelers can stash their own items. The place was overpowered by room freshener plug-ins in every room, possibly to help mask a slight dog smell (as on the throw in the living room). If anyone has a sensitivity to chemical fragrances, this could be an issue. Overall, the house was very functional and I would stay again with family or a group of friends.
All main attractions in Florence/ Muscle Shoals are close by.

I grew up in north Alabama/south Tennessee and graduated from UNA. Both of my children were raised here - my oldest is a Navy veteran who has moved back to the area and my youngest is a UNA graduate. My wife and I frequent the local restaurants and events and you can often find us set up at arts and crafts fairs downtown.
