Jade House is the quintessential family river home! You’ll love the river views and multiple decks for lounging, yoga, dining, BBQ-ing, and more. With three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, it’s an ideal spot for families or groups of friends. The updated kitchen is perfect for preparing delicious meals to enjoy together. The spacious living and dining room are open for board games, movies, and fun. For entertainment, you’ll love the recreation room, complete with a ping-pong table for friendly competitions.

The backyard and various decks are great for relaxing and soaking in the residential neighborhood setting. Walk from the backyard to the Drake Estate Neighborhood Beach – to paddle, swim, or play by the water. Boats available seasonally – see below.

Close to downtown Guerneville, you’ll have easy access to local shops, dining, and the vibrant culture of this charming town. Plus, the Sonoma Coast is only a short drive away, offering scenic beauty and opportunities for coastal adventures. This home has everything you need for a perfect getaway!


Know Before You Book:

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Jade House is 8 people not including kids under 3 years old. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm until 7:00 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at all times.

A Note About Our Cleaning Fees: Thank you for supporting our local business! When you stay with us, you are supporting local families at work. We think everyone deserves a decent living wage, and we make sure to set the rates and fees so that our cleaners earn a living wage in beautiful Sonoma County.

Parking: There is parking for a maximum of 3 vehicles – 2 cars tandem in the driveway and one in an off-street gravel space. RVs, trailers, and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance.

Bed Sizes: Upstairs Bedroom 1: Queen Bed; Upstairs Bedroom 2: Queen Bed; Upstairs Bedroom 3: 2 Twin Beds; Downstairs, Rec Room Sleeping Space 1: Double Bed.

Heating: Jade House has central heat with a Nest thermostat. This includes all of the upper living spaces and a vent to the sleeping area in the rec room downstairs.

Cooling: This home does not have A/C, but there is a ceiling fan in each bedroom plus freestanding fans for other areas.

Bathrooms: There are 2.5 bathrooms. The full and half bathrooms upstairs are off the hallway and the full bathroom has a shower over a clawfoot bathtub. The full bathroom on the rec room level is has a shower only.

Location: Jade House is in a cozy residential neighborhood. It is a mix of permanent residents and vacation rentals, families, working folks, and visitors. To honor this balance, we ask guests to park only in the designated parking spaces and respect the quiet hours in addition to general family-friendly, residential neighborhood expectations. Sound carries so we ask guests to be aware of noise – especially once quiet time starts at 9 pm. Road to Jade House: The road is narrow in spots - please heed the speed limit. We provide excellent written driving directions to confirmed guests.

Stairs: Jade House is a multilevel property with several levels of decks and yard. There are 36 stairs from the driveway to the front door and 38 stairs to the back door. There are exterior stairs (only) between the main living areas upstairs and the rec room downstairs. Please look through the photos if stairs are a concern.

Pet Policy: This home welcomes 1 well-mannered dog. If you have more than 1 dogs or other types of pets, please contact us to see if exceptions can be made before reserving. Sound carries more than you may expect and neighbors are sensitive to barking dogs.

Fencing: Most of the property is not fenced, but there is a gate and fence along the river side of the property and the two sides. There is no fencing along the street side of the property.

Work from HERE: There is a dedicated desk with chair in the living room and additional potential workspaces in the rec room.

A Note About TVs: The Smart TVs – 1 in the upstairs living room and 1 in the rec room – have access to Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, and hundreds of streaming channels. Guests are welcome to bring their login info for these apps. The television does not have cable services. There is also a DVD player at the upstairs TV.

Common Amenities not included: A/C, Cable TV
This home does not have Air Conditioning, but the afternoon and evening breeze from the ocean and up the river generally keep the house a comfortable temperature. Ceiling and freestanding fans are provided. The house tends to stay cool – especially the rec room level.
Cable TV: Jade House does not have cable TV, but you have access to streaming services via the Smart TV with internet. Guests can use to log in to their Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, YouTube, and other accounts.

Rec/Game Room: The game room is an uninsulated space, but there is heat at the area closest to the bed. Temperature varies throughout the year. The rec room is a combination family area with TV, sleeping space, full bathroom, laundry room, and ping-pong table area.

Docks, Boats, and River Access: These are seasonal amenities and only available when conditions allow. Expect docks, boats, and river access when the summer dams are in (mid-June to mid- September). Conditions vary from year to year and can change rapidly – use your best judgement to determine your risk level and comfort in the water/physical activity. When available, there is 1 canoe, 1 double kayak, and 2 single kayaks locked at the beach.
