Rustig en vredig uitje. Prive, ruim appartement met een volledige keuken, mooie achtertuin en terras voor uw kajaks, surfplanken en SUP's. Tijd om van het water te genieten. Buitendouches, schaduwrijke zijporch en open achterporch (entree appartement). Loop een paar blokken naar het strand of minder naar het strand langs de binnenwateren. Gemakkelijke toegang tot de intracoastale waterweg om uw kajak of paddleboard slechts ongeveer een blok verderop te lanceren. Ook slechts een blok van Joyner Marina in het geval u een bootstrook huurt.

Very Peaceful

I needed a quiet getaway to Carolina Beach. The condo and location was perfect. The walk to the beach is about three long blocks, but doable with a cart to pull everything. Since my last visit to Carolina Beach, the city has instituted parking charges for beach access at $2.50 per hour or $17 per day. I drove to Kure Beach where there were no parking fees. But the apartment was very comfortable. Matt and Sarah were very welcoming hosts. Thank you!

Wonderful stay, walk to the beach

Had a terrific stay at this great beach cottage. Matt & his family welcomed my family & I and went out of their way to make us feel at home & offer great advice & assistance to a mom traveling alone with 2 teens! The place was great & outfitted with everything we needed & we loved the outdoor shower! It is a super easy walk to the beach (under 5 mins) & my teen girls were able to come & go themselves. Would definitely recommend— hope to visit again!!

Great Stay.

This rental was perfect for what we wanted. It was just me and my daughter. We had everything we needed. It was a charming little place. The host was courteous and very helpful. There is a short and pleasant bike ride to the beach. Even closer is the inter coastal waterway. The community is quiet and pleasant. Groceries, beach stores and a board walk are close by. I would definitely stay again.

Enjoyable Week!

I can sum up our stay in just three words: clean, cool, and comfortable. The rental delivered on all accounts. It was very clean, the AC was great, and the bed was comfortable. In addition, it was tucked away in a quiet area but close enough to the beach. Thanks so much, Matt for being a great host.

Very responsive, very friendly. I’m not used to staying somewhere where the homeowner is there too, but I didn’t feel like I was infringing on them and they didn’t disrupt me either. The perfect, quiet spot to get away on the island and the unit had everything I needed.

Cute getaway

The beach house apartment is below a main beach house, near the ICW but only a short walk to the beach. It had all the basics for a beach getaway. The renters were kind and helpful and fixed the one problem with the fridge that we had. Definitely good for a beach getaway!

Quite and peaceful steps to the Ocean

Matt is super nice and the whole house is beach vibe all the way! We loved the fairy lights at night were a great addition.. Couldn't fiqure out the stove top but otherwise perfect.. We will book again un the future❤

Needs a few basics to rate 5 stars

There was no dresser to place our clothes, nor a shelf in the closet. The two pocket doors (bedroom and bath) did not close, so there was no privacy. The stove had 2 of 4 burners working. The two futons in the living room were arranged against the wall, perpendicular to the tv, which had few antenna channels, and spotty reception. The fan in bedroom was noisy, and there were no lamps in the unit, only harsh overhead lighting. The storm door was not hung properly, and squeaked loudly as did the kitchen cupboards. The key did not work in the deadbolt. Matt was a terrific host and was prompt with our few requests, but this place needs some basics to make it comfortable.

Amazing Memorable Trip

This was an amazing trip in every sense. Firstly Matt and Sarah are excellent hosts. They are so kind and hospitable in every way.Very genuine couple. We enjoyed talking to them! The place is so cute and tidy and not cluttered just perfect! The best thing ever is Matt has two outdoor showers which are so convenient and hot water! And this allows you do take a shower and have no sand when you go into the house. The benches to sit outside every day and have your coffee and glass of wine is so relaxing. So many beautiful little touches which I would to explain! Lastly the location is fantastic, five minute walk to beach, and two minute walk to the marina to see sunset. Just perfect and beautiful. I will go there back many many times.

Lovely stay--great getaway

We used this little apartment as overflow housing for a friend's trip to CB. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely. Short walk to beautiful beach. The apartment is well-appointed with everything you need for a stay. Our flight from Atlanta was delayed until well past midnight but Matt was there to greet us when we finally made it. Thanks!

July 4th Holiday

We had friends with teenagers that were staying several blocks away and we wanted a place to retreat too. The home was quiet and peaceful. The decor was tasteful and uncluttered. It was perfect for us. I loved the jazz music playing softly in the background as we walked in. Nice touch Matt.

Wonderful Stay!

We decided last minute on a weekend getaway. Booked this house on a Tuesday for the following Thursday. Excellent communication from the homeowner, and the house was perfect for my husband and I. Convenient location and super clean! I'm so glad we found this little jewel. I highly recommend!!

Matt was helpful but the place was quite small.

I had to ask Matt for help to work the Pandora streaming radio and the heating cooling unit on the wall. He thought he would write instructions. I suggested he add towel racks and hooks in the bathroom. I also suggested that he clean out the bedroom closet to make room for shelves.

Clean and close to the beach

We stayed 3 nights at Matt and his wife´s house. The place is much nicer than the pictures give the impression of. It is clean and newly renovated and with a nice bathroom and kitchen. It has a nice outdoor shower as well. We were visting friends who lived just a few blocks from this place, so we only really used it to sleep, so I can´t say much about the kitchen accept that my husband loved the coffee maker! I would highly recommend this place for others.

We live on the 2nd floor in a separate unit of this duplex with our four yr old, and and one yr old. We love this location and living here in a relaxing, convenient, location to enjoy the water with both the beach and waterway nearby. Given our four and one yr old, you may here some pitter patter thumps here and there but we try to keep them under control :)
