We love this house!

This is the second time we have stayed in this house, and we hope to use it every time we come to Kampala. It is beautiful and spacious, and the location is perfect--far enough from town to be quiet, but close enough to be convenient to places we needed to go. The property manager is on-site and very helpful with any questions we had. I recommend this property.

Great place to stay

We really had a great time!!! A save and relaxed place close to Kampala. Very friendly housekeepers!!! Perfect venue if you’re looking for a relaxed place to stay close to the hectic city.

spacious but needs some basic maintenance jobs completing.

This modern property is spacious and comfortable. The best feature is that the very helpful caretaker lives in a small villa within the compound so any issues can be dealt with immediately. We also appreciated the chauffeur service which was relatively cheap and very reliable. It was understandable but frustrating to have to keep putting money onto the Electric meter, the Gas cooker however was free. the Internet was still very poor even though we paid 300,000 shillings extra for the "total" package. The property is cleaned about three times a week by a very efficient lady who simply can't do enough to help. The washing machine is cold water fill only so we found it necessary to pre-soak our washing in HOT water prior to using the machine. The owner was very quick to respond to all our E-mails and we would certainly use the Villa again. The road to the Accommodation is very bumpy and about a five minute walk from the Main Road where buses/taxis are frequent. All in all a very pleasant stay thank you.

A beautiful home, close to Kampala, yet far enough away from chaos of the city to feel peaceful

Michael’s house was wonderful–perfect for our small work team, and it gave us a nice space to invite people to come over for a meal. The grounds are beautiful and tranquil, a nice break from the chaos of downtown Kampala. Michael responds very quickly to questions posed on the HomeAway website. Paul, the onsite house and grounds keeper, was very helpful. We did experience some frustration around wi-fi. A couple times when we paid for extra data, it didn’t seem to work. Possibly four professionals trying to use it at once overwhelmed the network. This is the reason for four stars rather than five. Wish there was a 4.5 option! I look forward to staying at this house again when we return to Kampala.

Beautiful home for very reasonable rate

The home was very nice! Paul, the onsite manager was very helpful. When he had a hard time understanding us, he was able to find someone to help interpret. Michael, the owner was very accommodating with our unique circumstances and went out of his way to help us when he didn't need to. Thanks so much Michael! For anyone interested in renting, here are a few things that may help you... - There is a Muslim community nearby so there are loudspeakers close for their call to prayer which may wake you up before you planned :-) - Do not buy can food unless you bring your own can opener. - fourth bedroom as mentioned is now used as storage, but Paul did get us a mattress for our son to sleep on in the living room when he came. - wifi is available but you may need to buy additional data as it is not unlimited. It does not cost much and Paul will go get additional minutes whenever you need it. He was very accommodating for that, which was invaluable in our case where we needed to communicate with others before they flew in for part of the time we were there. Overall it was a great alternative to hotels in the Kampala area and as I said before, Michael couldn't have been nicer to work with!

Lovely house and a great host

We really enjoyed our stay in Michael's house and would love to go back again. It's nice and spacious with well-tended grounds. On a good day you can be in central Kampala within 15 mins but that depends on the notorious traffic. Michael is responsive and professional, while his housekeeper Paulo is helpful and a nice guy.
