Premier Nederland Mountain Lake Chalet 10 Minutes From Eldora Ski Resort !

A one-of-a-kind chalet with an unbelievable view and amenities. The wrap around deck provides extraordinary vistas in every direction. You will see nothing but lake, mountains, ski runs and stars as you relax in the therapeutic hot tub, kept toasty all the time (no guilt necessary as our solar systems offsets 100% of energy use). Our 4 bedroom, 3 bath chalet can sleep 10 (3 queen beds, 1 full bed, 4 twin bunk beds and a porta-crib for the wee one). All linens and plush towels will welcome you. There are smart TVs on each floor, fast WIFI, a loft office area (desk and laser printer) with an elliptical trainer and weights & a magical view certain to inspire your workout. The full kitchen with granite and new appliances has everything you need for festive meals. There is a washer/dryer and a 360 ft well with water so pure you'll want to bottle it and take some home!
The Lower level has its own deck and both inside and outside entrances with an incredible view that is hard to imagine. It also has a family room for the lower level bedrooms.
Hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, tennis, pickle ball, fishing, bird watching, horseback riding, mountain climbing, technical rock climbing and everything in between is available; or just lounge around in the middle of one of the most beautiful places on earth! And.... Nederland has great eating and drinking establishments and unique shops 2 minutes away by car or 20 minutes walk on the lake trail. We have a real movie theater on the weekends with first run movies, popcorn $1.00, candy and drinks at prices from the 1960s.
You can see the trails of Eldora Ski Resort from the deck, which is a 10 minute car ride (you can rent all the ski and board gear you need there). Hiking trails abound in the area including a few that start at the back door! Fish away in the chilly waters just a hop, skip and jump from the house. You will never see boats or swimmers in the pristine lake….!
The house is ideal for family vacations. The dining table seats 12 and the kitchen has all the gear and appliances to make hearty and festive meals just like at home (including an outdoor gas grill). The layout of the house is perfect for multi-family stays or to separate the kids, giving mom and dad peace and quiet.
If you are coming to ski or snowboard you probably know the cost is half that of the big name resorts. And Eldora is known for getting great snow all winter long. A hidden and little-known treasure!
Experience the Colorado Rockies close up and personal while only 20 minutes from one of the coolest cities in America, Boulder, home to Sundance Film Festival in January. An hour drive puts you in the heart of Denver where you can enjoy world class arts, sporting events and city life.

Amazing Stay!

Our family of 3 generations (from ages 50 to celebrating a 2nd birthday while there) from St. Louis and Salt Lake City meet in the Front Range to vacation together annually. This time we chose Nederland and this amazing home. Louis was a pleasure to deal with via email and phone. He truly wanted us to enjoy every aspect of the home and surrounding area! Upon arrival, what peace to find everything was just as described, and what a happy surprise to find gifts of local candy and coffee waiting for us! (So good we bought more to take home!) The home was immaculate. All of the beds were comfortable and the linens high-end. The layout of the home made it perfect for everyone to be together, yet individual families or napping babies could have privacy and quiet when needed. The house was a very short drive to town, yet felt fairly remote. There was only a short distance to be traversed off of pavement, and we had no difficulty without 4 wheel drive, even after the inch or two snowfall on our second day. The location was also great for those in the family who run. Our girls ran each morning on the sparsely traveled road the home sits on, and there are trails around the lake across the paved road below. The view from the deck and huge windowed wall was spectacular! We used the binoculars conveniently provided by the owners to watch ducks and geese on the lake and to scan the mountainsides for wildlife. We even had a large, fluffy red fox nosing around on the hillside right off the deck one morning. We had no difficulty cooking together as the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. And with Nederland so close, we had easy access to any groceries or wine we wanted. Nederland also has quaint, fun shops and a gorgeous carousel that was the highlight of the trip for our little ones! The ONLY negative was that the hot tub was too small for all of us to use at the same time. But it was a quality hot tub kept sparkling clean without harsh chemicals! We would definitely recommend this home for a vacation! And we hope to return as soon as we decide on the dates for our time together next year!

Perfect Ski Lodge

Beautiful views, spacious and comfortable home, close to funky Nederland and ideal for skiing at Eldora. Louis the owner was very responsive when we had questions during our stay.

Beautiful Home

This is my fourth time coming to stay at the house. I come for my birthday and bring the family. The views are spectacular and the people here are very nice and charming. Always a great experience!

We loved the home and the area. Everything was well taken care of and quality. View was awesome and we got wonderful pictures. We loved the hot tub!! Nederland was a quaint town we all enjoyed. Highly recommend!

Great stay!

We had a great stay here. Louis was very helpful ahead of our visit and promptly answered the questions we had in advance of our trip. A couple things to know: 1. There’s sufficient parking for 6-7 vehicles. 2. The area is currently in a drought so Louis asked us to be conservative with water usage. Being from Colorado, this wasn’t usual for us so we were fine. 3. If there’s snow/ice in the forecast, you will need at least 4x4 and some serious snow tires (chains recommended) to access the property. We had beautiful weather so the road was dry for us but it’s too to know. Overall, it made for a great birthday week celebration. Thanks so much!

Great Mountain Spot!

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the mountain hideaway home! If it has snowed you will need a 4 wheel drive to get up the hill. Gorgeous view, located close to town, plenty of outside adventures near as well!

Best property!!

We absolutely loved staying in this outstanding home! It was absolutely beautiful, spacious, welcoming and comfortable. Louis was very easy to communicate with, and he responded quickly to any messages. Everything at the property and in the house was absolutely perfect. We saw deer every night in the yard, heard wolves howling off in the distance, saw shooting stars while relaxing in the hot tub, and even saw Moose the last night. The house comes welp equip with kitchen supplies and other necessities . We are in love with this property and hope to return in the future!!

Beautiful Mountain Getaway!

We loved staying in this beautiful house! The house was spacious, stocked with everything we needed and the views were spectacular. Nederland is a cute little mountain town and the house was in a great location for all of our day trips. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

Amazing Location near Nederland

The location of the house was perfect for hiking, visiting Boulder, visiting the very cute Nederland, and hanging out with the family. The view out the huge windows over the reservoir is stunning! The house has everything you need, the owner provided lots of helpful information, and our group of 7 fit perfectly in the space. The hot tub on the deck is an extra plus!

Beautiful house for family spring skiing

We sat on the sunny deck in 55 degree F weather in shorts and T-shirts while enjoying the view of a frozen lake and snowy mountains. It was beautiful. The kitchen had everything I needed. The beds were comfy. The location was very close to Eldora Ski resort which is a wonderful place for spring skiing.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. We encourage all to have at least one 4 wheel drive vehicle during the winter months. Compared to most all comparable homes in the area, access is as about as easy as it gets. The main road is county maintained very well, which is but a few thousand feet down the road. We also have contracted snow removal. In all the rental years we have had only one instance of difficulty, when there was a 3 ft fast dump.

All of our children and grandchildren live in Nederland, Boulder and Denver. That's why we came here. We stayed because we fell in love with Nederland. Our home is our own little piece of paradise in the sky. Because we live in Florida most of the year, we decided to let others enjoy our 'forever home' when we are not around. Our family members are at your beck and call for any help you may need, and to provide 'local' knowledge to make your stay even more enjoyable. We want to hear from our guests what more we can do to make your vacation a most special one.

We fell in love with our home the first time we set foot inside, and bought it immediately. The view was the selling point, it can't be beat. Our home is private, yet close to everything. The beauty, convenience and comfort of this custom made mountain retreat is addicting. Our home is your home while you're here. It is clean, comfortable, and cozy.
We provide everything you need but your toothbrush. You can feel the love our family has poured into our home and we want our guests to share our little bit of paradise in the sky.

What makes this property unique

Most important is the view. Lots of homes are in the mountains, but our house has the view. It feels as though the house hangs over the pristine crystal clear mountain lake that is right outside our door. From our wrap a round deck we see the lake, the mountains, and the Continental Divide. Boulder Creek meanders it's way down to Boulder through one of the most scenic drives in America. (fishing and picnicking are right out the front door too, no need for a car). Hike or bike the trails out the backdoor, or walk into Nederland along the beautiful lake path. We're just minutes from skiing, hiking, biking and everything else you could want in a mountain retreat. My favorite thing to do though is sit on the deck, 'chill', and enjoy the beauty of this special part of the world.
