When we first arrived, the property looked very nice. Then on the second day, I went out to my car and it was covered in ants. They were outside and inside and all over my car then on the third day we found ants inside the property. the mattresses were very loud and uncomfortable. Then on the last day, I found ants inside food we had brought. I don’t know if I would recommend this place for someone else to stay right now. This house needs a lot of work.
It was a little noisy from street Cute house though and accessible to things we wanted to do. Only advice is bring a fan, if you cook, a few pots and pans and your own seasoning.
It was a great property, worked out perfectly for our group, and it was really easy to check in. They responded quickly to our messages overall they were really great, 10/10 would stay again
Perfect spot. Father had not been with kids in two years. Area was conducive for family. House was cozy. Thanks for giving Chris

Worst “Almost” Stay
I want to first say this advertisement does in no way match what you walk into. I rented the house for myself, my cousin, sister and our children. When we arrived we were attacked by mosquitoes before we could get the door open. Then upon entering a house there was a smell that was off, the floor was dirty and you wouldn’t dare walk on it without shoes. The bathroom floor had broken tile that was hidden under a bath mat, the bathtub was dirty and had grime and gunk built up along the inside where the tile meets the tub, it was brown/black. The toilet was new but the toilet paper was wet for some odd reason. The bathroom vent had black mold on it. The kitchen ceiling had black mold, and I have all the pictures to prove it. Once I reached out to the host and telling her how uncomfortable we were and that we weren’t wanting to stay there because we have young children she began to gaslight me and telling me how she has never had this problem. She mentioned how there were million dollar homes in the neighborhood so she understands how her place is a commodity. Then we realized that the rental permit was expired, upon asking for the update copy she then began to say that we were knit picking and how we should call VRBO and how she didn’t want somebody staying in her home who didn’t want to be there, I mean we did tell her this due to the cleanliness and health safety reasons. Then we spoke with a rep, took the proper pictures and left immediately. Host is rude/ and will gaslight u

This rental needs work
Pros: neighborhood is decent and we loved the proximity to the lake park. Some yummy food in walking distance. Neighborhood pretty quiet at night. Cons: the yard is not fenced in. Weeds and tall grass throughout. Unstable and uncomfortable furniture. Splintering wood and a janky shed in back yard. Rusted out grill. No dishwasher. The house has missing wood in spots and peeling paint. Definitely not as pictured. Coffee pot was too dirty to use. Water from faucet was cloudy. This house has good bones but it needs a lot of work. The house and proper are overall unkempt. The neighborhood was pretty good and we loved the lake park within walking distance. Easy to get to highways.

Catfish
We got there and the pictures aren’t what it looks like. It was hair all over the covers in the beds and in the restroom. The pillows were dirty and so were the curtains and shower it was completely unacceptable and that is not ok to present one condition and it’s another. We were so uncomfortable that we left six flags got back to the house packed our bags and drove 3 1/2 hours back to Houston we didn’t even stay the other night paid for because we were so uncomfortable. It wasn’t a pleasant stay and we were told to remove the bed sheets and place the linings in the corner only to uncover stains that’s disgusting.
Upon arrival my wife found roaches in the draws and crawling around, I tried to call and message host with no reply, then proceeded to speak with support who was absolutely no help at all, asked for me to go back an hour after we left to take photos of bugs. We got a hotel on the other side of town which I explained. Support said they would send an email for me to go back and send them photos of the bugs. Never happened so not only did we have to find a hotel on the opposite side of town. Neighborhood was not in a very safe area house is falling apart several issues with in the house. Over this that’s been the most frustrating and horrible experience we have had. If I could rate this place and Vrbo support on a negative scale it would be as high as it can go. Support was absolutely no help at all to the point I would not recommend this app to anyone.

Not for us
The house wasn't cleaned properly. Still had dog hair on couches and pillows. Shower didn't work but owner had some one semi fix it so we could shower the next day. We had to shower in a friend's hotel room the first night. The bed i slept in was lumpy and uncomfortable.
We slept so well and were very comfortable in this cute little home. It reminded me of my grandmothers home when I was a child. We had everything we needed. It was very clean with a couple of areas of dust/dirt on window seals and under dresser but otherwise very clean.
Staying in this home was perfect. I especially loved how everything was nearby that I needed. Inside the home is relaxing and comfortable. Despite being off a busy road and plenty of homes nearby, it was a quiet neighborhood and I had no problem falling asleep for the night.

Hi :) I’m a mom of 2 boys & work doing permanent makeup.
Why they chose this property
I think the architecture in the neighborhood is beautiful. I really love older homes better than new ones. They have so much character & history.
What makes this property unique
This house is unique because it feels like you’ve traveled back in time. I also love that you can walk to the lake and enjoy nature.
