This ski condo is in a perfect location in Park City - Park City Mountain Resort (named #1 family resort by the editors of Ski Magazine) is walking distance, one block to the lifts and main ticket offices. Other great skiing available in town at Deer Valley Ski Resort and The Canyons Ski Resort (each a 5 minute drive, or accessible through the free bus system throughout town which picks up at the front door). Main St is also within walking distance (15 minutes, or by free bus), which offers many restaurants, bars, art galleries, and shopping options. City Park is also across the street, and all other activities in the Park City area are within a few minute drive or a free bus ride. SLC international airport is easily accessible with a 45 minute drive or a shuttle ride. This ski condo is located in Old Town of Park City, right in the heart of what was recently named “Best Town Ever” by Outside Magazine.

This unit has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and was newly remodeled in 2009. It is fully furnished, as the owner was living here since the remodel. There is a large living room / dining area, equipped with a flatscreen TV, DVD player, cable TV, a fireplace, board games, and free Wifi internet access. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking all meals, and has all new stainless steel appliances. There is also a balcony with a grill, as well as a washer and dryer in the unit. The tiled entryway has a ski rack for 6 pairs of skis, and is perfect for wet boots and clothes.

The complex has a year-round hot tub and sauna for use, as well as a ping pong room and common area. The unit also comes with one dedicated covered parking spot in the underground garage, and additional parking is available in guest spots outside. The bus stop for the free town bus system is on the corner right outside the front door.

The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with pillow-top mattress, a bathroom internal to the room, 2 large closets, and a separate door to the balcony. The second bedroom has a twin-sized bunk bed, as well as a twin-sized trundle bed (one mattress on top, with another normal mattress that can pull out from underneath). The second bathroom has one doorway off of the second bedroom, and another doorway to the common hallway. The living room also offers sleeping options on the couch (with provided memory foam pad) and space for air beds.

About Rob Horacek

I am a ski enthusiast who grew up on the East Coast, attended Boston University as an Engineering major, and moved out to Utah for the skiing and to pursue a career designing outdoor equipment (and am currently living/working overseas for the same company). After living on both the East Coast and West Coast, Park City is my favorite of the three, with the accessibility to amazing skiing, golf, mountain biking, hiking, camping, etc all right across the street. In past ski seasons I've had friends come in for ski trips nearly every weekend, as almost every one of them has come back repeatedly for the snow, cheap lift tickets (you can buy discount tickets down in Salt Lake on your way up from the airport), the night life, and the accessibility to a major airport.

Why Rob Horacek chose Utah

Location location location. This is why I chose this condo to live in myself - there are many locations in Park City that require a car, a long bus ride, or an expensive cab ride to get to skiing and other attractions, so I love the convenience of having Park City Resort and Main Street in walking distance. On ski trips growing up we would stay at a condo where we were within walking distance to the lodge, and I always thought that was the best part - so that's what I looked for in Park City. I'll also mention (and sorry for the lack of humility), with this property you will have the pleasure to deal with a very friendly and responsible owner, which I know isn't always the case.

What makes this condo unique

The things I fell in love with in this condo... The covered parking - a must during the winter, as well as a plus in the summer. The hot tub - nothing better after a long day skiing or hiking than soaking in the hot tub. Also the homey, clean, new feel inside the condo.. and the ping pong table put it over the top.

Great Spot and Comfy Condo

Checked our boxes:

1) well stocked kitchen

2) large 2nd bedroom (sleeps 4 kids: twin bunk beds and trundle bed) we needed room for 3, this was big enough easily, and an en-suite bathroom for the kids

3) just downhill from PCMR commuter parking/kiss-and-ride, an easy walk leaving skis at valet on hill

4) on the Park Ave bus route system, saw 5 diff bus lines go by

5) 1 block from 7-11 for last minute beer, ahem, snack runs

6) shared hot-tub and sauna area, with gameroom for the kids (pingpong, etc)

Once you learn which doors/stair work best, access is easy. Covered parking if you have a car, we shuttled and used the bus system and walked to dinner when we ate out.

Would come back again for sure.

Great Location

We've been doing an annual ski trip for 30 years. We were looking for a ski-in ski-out place when we found this. It was several hundred dollars a nite less and the free bus was right outside the door. Each morning it took us about 10 minutes from walking out the door to be at the Park City ski area (buses run every 5 min in the morning). We left our skis at an overnite valet so we didn't have to carry them on the bus. The unit was well stocked with condiments and cooking utensils, which was important for us as we tend to collapse in the unit after skiing and not go out again.

The key code access made getting in & out very easy without worrying about carrying a key around. As we spent most evenings in the unit, a bigger TV would have been nice.

Got the Essentials for a Hard Skiing Weekend

Great Location. You can walk to the lifts at PCMR in less than 5 min with ski boots. You can walk to heart of main st. (10 min walk). Decent community hot tub. Decent amenities - we cooked a hearty breakfast every morning and it has more than the essential cook ware and even has spices, oils, zip lock bags, tin foil, coffee filters, some extra coffee, etc. Thus, you are good to cook if you only get your staple groceries. The rental manager (Rob) was very good at communicating before the trip.

It was a perfect place for a guys trip that centered around big breakfasts, hard skiing, hot tubing, big dinners, sleeping, then repeating.

Good stay

The place was clean, spacious and within walking distance, 5 min to PCMR. Check in was easy with very clear and detailed instructions.

Trying to watch a DVD was difficult, as the previous guest had changed the connections to gaming console. Could use a few more pots and pans in the kitchen.

Overall, very good stay.

RETIRED SKI GUYS

Great place, great location. You walk 100 feet to the bus stop and then go 3 minutes to the town lift or downtown Park City. Everything you need is at the condo. Owner supplies ample amounts of everything you will need. Lots of closet space. Also lots of condiments that you don't need to purchase to prepare and enhance your meals. Grill on the balcony. Great Sauna and hot tub. We have been going on a ski vacation for 20 years and this is the best place we stayed at. Will go there again.

The condo is located in Old Town in the heart of Park City. It is across the street from Park City Mountain Resort (named #1 Family Vacation Destination by the editors of Ski Magazine in 2011), and 5 minute drive to Deer Valley Ski Resort and Canyons Ski Resort. It is in walking distance (15 minutes) to Main St, which offers a great variety of restaurants, bars, shopping, and art galleries. City Park is across the street, offering free tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, softball/soccer/football fields, a playground, and grilling areas (in summer). Great hiking and mountain biking are across the street and connect with an extensive trail system throughout Park City (Park City was named the first Gold Level ride center by the International Mountain Bike Association in 2012). Shuttles are available to and from Salt Lake International Airport (SLC), or car rentals are available for the 45 minute drive. Other great ski areas are also in driving distance - Snowbird, Alta, Solitude, and Brighton are a 45 minute drive, Snow Basin and Powder Mountain are a 1.5 hour drive. The Tangier Outlets are a 10 minute drive, and attractions in Salt Lake City are a 30 minute drive. The Jordanelle reservoir is 10 minutes away, which offers boating, camping, picnic areas, and beaches on the lake. Various rivers are also close by and offer fishing, tubing, and rafting. Park City is also home to the famous Sundance Film Festival, which happens for 10 days every January - and this condo is walking distance to half of the venues!
