George Town Condo Rental Photos and Description

Centrally located condo on the beach

Check out our reviews below. We would love to welcome you as we have all of our past guests.

August through October - 7th night free!

Our condo is located at Cayman Reef Resort in the heart of the action on Seven Mile Beach. Everything you need is within walking distance. The condo itself is located between the beach and the pool and you will enjoy beautiful views and amazing sunsets from the living room and its patio. The Resort boasts a pool, a lighted tennis court, and plenty of green space. There is a new King size bed in the bedroom as well as a queen size sofa bed in the living room. There are flat screen TVs in both the living room and the bedroom and WIFI internet throughout the unit. We also have a phone with unlimited calls to Canada and the US and have a local cell phone for you to use during your visit.

We have paid attention to detail to ensure that you feel at home. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the basics as well as some nice extras such as a coffee maker, set of wine glasses, serving dishes and knife block to name just a few. We have a Serta Perfect Sleeper Mattress and added high quality Ralph Lauren bedding and towels to ensure you are comfortable in all aspects. We have the same Pacific Coast pillows on our bed as your find in five star hotels. We also want you and your valuables to feel secure so you will find a safe in the condo. The bathroom has been recently renovated and has a spacious, walk-in shower.

We are on a beautiful, wide section of Seven Mile Beach close to all amenities. Enjoy snorkeling directly in front of the complex and easy access to all other watersports (jet-skiing, parasailing, banana boat, kayaking, etc) a short walk away at the Royal Palms beach bar. A visit to Cayman isn't complete without a visit to Stingray City. Tour operators will pick you up at the condo to take you to Stingray City or Scuba Diving. Also within walking distance is Cayman's newest development, Camana Bay, where you will find the cinema, shops, restaurants and a nice treat of ice cream or frozen yogurt. Our condo is also on the bus route for easy access to downtown George Town.

Cayman Reef Resort is located in the heart of the action with too many restaurants and bars within walking distance to name. You will also find a great variety with many options in both casual, good value dining as well as high end dining.

As for essentials, there are two supermarkets about a 15 minute walk away (in opposite directions), a wine/spirits/beer store across the road, and an ATM also across the street. Hopefully not necessary, but there is a medical clinic at Camana Bay which is a 10 minute walk.

Cars are driven on the left side of the road in Cayman which can be daunting to many North Americans. There are plenty of options for car rentals but most visitors choose not to rent a car and walk to most attractions or catch the bus.

As we live in the same complex, we offer you the additional benefit of being close by should you need anything. We include a welcome package of some of our favorite things to do on-island and where to find all of the necessities. We are also able to arrange babysitting should you require such services.

We purchased this condo in 2012 and really hope that you will enjoy Cayman and the Cayman Reef Resort as much as we do!

PLEASE NOTE WE ONLY ACCEPT PAYMENT VIA VRBO OR PAYPAL AND WILL NEVER ASK YOU TO WIRE MONEY TO US FOR PAYMENT

PLEASE EMAIL US IF YOUR DATES DO NOT APPEAR TO BE AVAILABLE. We own two other condos in the same resort so can hopefully accommodate your dates.

About Trinda

My husband and I are both Canadians but have been living in Cayman since 1999 and 2003, respectively. How can you resist living in a place with beautiful weather year round? We love the small town feel of Cayman and our 'Cayman family' while at the same time being able to enjoy all of the amenities that Cayman has to offer. Our son was born in 2011 and we look forward to many fun times with him in Cayman.

Trinda purchased this condo in 2012

Why Trinda chose Grand Cayman

We also live at Cayman Reef Resort and really view this one bedroom condo as an extension of our home. We have many family and friends visit us from Canada and purchased this property in 2012 to have a near-by option for them.

What makes this condo unique

Anyone who has stayed at Cayman Reef will tell you one of their favorite things is the evening sunset and how people gather to watch the sunset on the beach each evening. We have beautiful views extending in both directions.

So-So Accommodation

  • 3 of 5

Unfortunately, we had to abruptly depart in order to return to the States and take care of our house in the wake of Hurricane Matthew.

Though we were only there 1 night, we could see that an effort had been made to maintain the condo. The Property Manager was friendly and helpful. However, the unit showed it's age and had several things wrong from the get go-- the fan & light fixture above the master bed did not work at all, the bathroom door frame kept pulling away from the surrounding wall when you tried to close the door, lights were out in several locations, including the back porch. The unit was considerably older and smaller than we expected (and it felt that way), and my wife believes that the pictures we saw on VRBO of a fairly modern, well maintained unit, did not resemble what we ended up with. I have no idea what we would have discovered if we stayed longer.

Owner's Response: Wow. I am so disappointed to read this review especially since you came to see the condo the day before your scheduled arrival and said it was fabulous - even better than the photos. We take great pride in our condos and I wish any concerns had been expressed directly to us. We could have pointed out the switch for the patio light as well as where the controls are for the bedroom ceiling fan and light. I haven't had anyone else mention issues with the bathroom door but I will certainly check it as soon as our current guests check out. Our one bedroom condo is 750 square feet which is listed in this VRBO ad but maybe I should add it to our initial response to guests. I can understand that you must be very upset that you had to leave after one night to attend to your vacation rental and the hurricane in South Carolina. I wish you had been able to stay your entire planned 5 days so that you could have enjoyed our condo and complex as our other guests do.

Wonderful time!

  • 5 of 5

We rented one of Trinda's units and it was great! This was the first time visiting the Cayman Islands for my husband and I and we enjoyed it so much. Our place was SO nice and we are so glad that we chose this unit to stay in. It was very nicely furnished and I loved the "welcome gifts" Trinda left for us. She was there to greet us when we arrived and let us get all of our luggage into our place even though we got there before official check in time. We were so close to the beach - and could see it from our screened in porch. The beach was so beautiful - breathtaking actually - and we were just a few steps from it. Never had any issues with getting beach chairs or an umbrella and we met so many nice people who were also staying at the Cayman Reef Resort as well. It was a very laid back part of the beach. Loved that there was a cell phone for us to take with us if we needed to make any local calls, and also an actual phone in our place if we needed to call back to the US for any reason. The added touches that Trinda puts in for her guests are much appreciated. We enjoyed coffee every morning on the beach, long walks, fantastic snorkeling, wonderful meals, both cooked at our place and a few nights out to eat. We did not rent a car but either walked or used the bus system and it worked out fine. We swam with the dolphins, visited the Turtle Farm and also did an excursion with George's Water Sports which included Stingray City and different areas to snorkel, which was a lot of fun. This was a much anticipated trip that my husband and I had planned for quite some time and we were not disappointed. The only suggestion I have is to definitely be prepared for the difference in the money exchange between Cayman and US which can hit your US pocketbook hard if you don't plan well. We would definitely come back again in the future and book with Trinda. Thank you Trinda - having such a nice place to stay made our trip so relaxing and we really did have a wonderful time!

My new favorite place

  • 5 of 5

This condo and its owner exceeded our expectations. The extra convenience of the well stocked kitchen was a very nice touch as well as the welcome presents and note from the owner. The condo was super comfortable and the beach was incredible which is why we hardly went anywhere else. Steps to the beach and a beautiful view from the screened in patio. The free phone calls to the US was a super plus that I have never had in any rental before and it does ease your mind to know your family can reach you. Lovely flat screen TVs (I'm an addict) and a super comfortable king size bed. This is my new favorite place and I will return as often as I can.

Beach haven

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from fantastic 8 days in this condo. With 2 minor flaws only, everything was perfect and it truly exceeded my already high expectations for my 4th trip to GC. There was a broom but no dustpan and kitchen knives are dull and need a sharpener. Otherwise all fantastic. The beach is incredible, incredible! My wife and I hardly budged from our well equipped condo. I have rented through VRBO before and never before had free phone to US and Canada plus local cell phone. A welcome gift was also a first! I appreciated the beach umbrella but only needed it once, but during busier times I would see it would be very necessary. People get there early to stake out the few umbrellas that are there. We loved all the kitchen had but only used it for two suppers plus all our breakfasts and lunches. I appreciated not having to buy paper towels, plastic wrap etc. The few spices were welcome and we added a few too. Trinda was bend over backwards helpful. We loved the nice tennis courts. Snorkelling was actually better than I expected for fish but no coral to speak of. I am avid snorkeler and diver so I do know my fish. I saw porcupine fish, grouper, barracuda, lots of others. I rented a car cheaper than cabs for my conference plus restaurant hopping and church and airport. Spent less on rental than we would have for cabs. Restaurants: Calypso a must...we went twice. Shrimp Trinidad appetizer amazing. Wharf was great too and a must.Their pecan crusted sea bass is great. Deckers had quite excellent AYCE lobster Tues and Saturday but avoid their Lobster Bisque...it is a travesty. I have never had such a terrible one before.Watery. Atrocious. Calypso's was amazing and second best I have ever had anywhere. Wharf was good too, but a tad smallish in portion. Dukes restaurant was good, I like their rice dish far better than the potato salad...they are happy to substitute if you ask. Did not try their ribs but fish dish was very good. Pappagallo was disappointing. Blackened mahi was literally tasteless. Never had to add salt and pepper to blackened fish before and still no flavor. Calypso's blackened mahi was phenomenal. My wife's pasta dish at Pappagallo's was equally disappointing. They had good appetizers though. Dessert was also very disappointing (coconut cake) and I love coconut. Captain's bakery cakes inedible unless you love artificial almond extract. Coconut, red velvet, choc all tasted same strong artif almond. Condo was fantastic! Miss it already. Top notch

Perfect condo- wonderful vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We loved everything about this condo! Trinda thought of everything- from wine and rum cake to a cell phone to use on the island to detailed recommendations about what to do on Grand Cayman. The beach was beautiful and not at all crowded (unlike the nearby resorts) with snorkeling right off the beach. The unit was spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. We chose to take the bus to most places, including several snorkeling areas and restaurants. We would definitely come back again to this condo at Cayman Reef. When you come to Grand Cayman, don't forget to see the Barefoot Man perform at the Wharf on Saturday nights!
