Peaceful Mountain Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We rented this property for 4 nights...upon arrival we found a spotless and exceptionally well maintained condo. The kitchen is fully appointed with everything you could need...everything worked great...wifi was strong, tv was great, and hot tub water was crystal clear and balanced. The complex seems to fill up on the weekends, but still was very quiet after 11 pm.

I absolutely have nothing negative to mention...we loved the property and had a great time. Would love to stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely

  • 4 of 5

We were in BC to visit Yoho, Jasper, and Banff National Parks, and we don't mind driving, so this was a good location for our purposes. It took almost an hour just to get to the entry point of many of the sights we wanted to see. Glacier and Revelstoke Parks were nice as well, and a little closer. One bonus of driving up and down the mountain was that one day we saw a mother black bear and her cub walking across the road.

The property itself has lovely mountain views. The only negatives we had with the condo was that there was a very unpleasant chemical odor every time we walked in, and there was no hair dryer. Fortunately, the weather was nice enough that we could open windows to help dissipate the odor.

This would be an especially nice winter rental for families who ski, or in the summer for mountain bikers. The gondola to the top of the mountain is a worthwhile activity.

Owner's Response: Hi Barbara, Great to hear that you had a great time exploring the area. Thanks for letting us know that the hair dryer was missing. We've now replaced it. Kind regards, Steve + Nina

Very nice home in the mountains

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I stayed here in the summer as a jumping off point for day hikes in Yoho, Kootenay, and Banff NPs. The home itself is very comfortable and nice. It is a townhouse in a group of other units and that comes with some privacy trade offs. It is a 12-15 minute drive into the town of Golden, BC which has quite a lot to offer in terms of food and conveniences.

Overall, this is a well-appointed, and very comfortable home and I'd love to visit it in the winter during the ski season.

Amazing vistas

  • 5 of 5

Great condo right at kicking horse mountain. We visited in summer and used as a base camp to explore the surrounding parks. If you havent visited this area, golden is smack bang in the middle of some of the best vistas in the world, and totally worth a drive along the highways in both dirwctions. Condo is tidy and well equipped with everything you need, and has perfect views of the mountain ranges. Only challenge was parking in the garage, it's a tight entry but manageable. Wish I could visit again but it was a once in a lifetime trip.
