There wasn’t any shampoo or garbage bags as stated in the listing. The area didn’t feel too safe but the place itself was very cute and clean.

Nice Unit//Bad Location
The host was very gracious and responsive. This place worked great for me for a month as I was transitioning to relocate to Dallas. I will say this, the neighborhood is not a a good place to spend your time. This property is in South Oak Cliff and even though it is new construction the neighborhood is very sketchy. I would not recommend for a single female or even for someone with children. I also had to spray some bug spray as the unit had ants, roaches and rolly polly bugs. I don't want to say anything bad about the host because the unit did work for what I needed, but this is not a spot to relax and spend vacation.

Thank you for your feedback. This property is located in an area with a lot of new construction activity and is surrounded by surveillance cameras, which contributes to a generally safe environment. We’ve never experienced any unsafe incidents.
Regarding the ant issue, it was an isolated occurrence caused by leftover food left behind by a previous renter in the adjoining duplex unit. We have since addressed the matter and conducted a full fumigation of the entire house.
After booking I seen a lot of reviews talking about the location I am originally from Dallas so I was thinking that this was the worst of the worst upon arriving it was indeed not the best neighborhood but it wasn’t the worst so if your from Dallas you won’t feel as if your shaking in your boots if this is your first time in Dallas you may want to look around the only complaint that I had was I was under the impression that I was going to enter through the front door but the entrance was on the side this was not told before arrival and I was fairly upset because I heard people( place is split into three different sections) and I was trying to figure out did I get double booked it was definitely a figure it out yourself situation and if I would have never went to the side of the house I would have lost money besides that the place was very cozy and exactly what I needed the bed was a little small to share and cover was thin I suggest bringing your own. There also was not very much communication upon arrival you could tell that these text were pre-written and I personally was not a fan because I’m a plan ahead and sometimes that comes with questions. The last note that I have is that it is located right by a studio room so the last night there was music until like 3am and I could hear the people talking and laughing so if your trying to have a quiet getaway just keep it in mind. Overall I honestly wouldn’t mind booking again.

I’m a bit confused by your review. As I explained, the home had water damage caused by a previous tenant — something I communicated to you clearly and respectfully. I also issued a full refund as a gesture of goodwill. Given these efforts, I’m not sure what the basis of the negative review was. I’d appreciate some clarity, as I strive to provide a fair experience for all my guests.
