About the property

Ideally Located, Elegant 6 Bedroom 6 Bath Country House Sleeps 12 Comfortably

Situated midway between Rome and Florence on one of the fabled hills of Tuscany, Villa Serena delights its guests with splendid panoramic views over the valley below. A gracious 6 bedroom 6 bath home with large spacious rooms, the villa provides ample space and privacy for up to 12 guests comfortably. Recently remodeled while maintaining its charm and authenticity, the living areas boast terra cotta floors and oriental rugs, gracious brick and stone archways and traditional wood-beamed ceilings throughout. One of the bedrooms and baths is located on the ground floor providing a comfortable setting for those who may have trouble climbing stairs. The entire first level of the home is free of stairs. The remaining 5 bedrooms and baths are located off of a central foyer on the second level of the villa. Each bedroom has a private ensuite bath for added privacy and convenience. Three of the bedrooms have Italian king beds, two have two twin beds, and one can be either two twins or one king as you prefer, providing added flexibility for larger groups.

The ground floor has an open floor plan with a large living room anchored by a handsome stone and copper fireplace and larger TV (SAT). There are also two sitting areas allowing all guests space to spread out. The dining table expands to seat 12 comfortably and the adjacent buffet has service for at least twelve. The large kitchen has a double sink, large range, oven, microwave, dishwasher and full size refrigerator. There is also a covered pergola steps from the kitchen where you can dine outside under the stars while taking in the spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

In keeping with the quality accommodations, the villa has a gorgeous swimming pool surrounded by comfortable lounge chairs set just a few steps from the home and positioned to get full sun through late afternoon. It also affords magnificent views of the surrounding countryside and amazing sunset views.

The estate is ideally located just 20 – 25 minutes southwest of Chiusi where you will find both the entrance to the A1 Autostrada (main highway from Rome to Florence) as well as the train station for travel to Rome, Florence and Siena. All are reachable in 45 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes. And the charming small village of San Casciano dei Bagni can be reached in 5-10 minutes by car or approximately 30 minutes by foot. There, you can find groceries, several highly regarded restaurants as well as a world class thermal spa.

The rental rate includes the private use of the villa for your group, cleaning two mornings during your stay in Middle or High Season (more frequent cleaning is available at an extra cost), pool towels and complimentary laundry facilities. We would also be delighted to suggest local itineraries, organize a winetasting or a special meal for your group and/or arrange a driver for a day tour of the area or for pickup/drop off at any of the airports in the area (ie Rome, Florence or Perugia). We want to make this a vacation to remember for a lifetime!!

Beautiful Villa in Tuscany

  • 5 of 5

Had a fantastic time staying at this villa for a week with friends. It instantly felt like home. There were 12 of us and the villa still felt spacious. The pool was perfect. Nice size, lots of lounge chairs and a cozy shaded area. The view by far was my favorite part. Overlooking the Tuscan hills was breathtaking and picturesque. The location is very quiet and peaceful which was nice to be able to relax while on vacation. The near by town, San Casciano de Bagni, was adorable and everyone there was very friendly and helpful. I wish I were back in that town and staying at this villa every day. Can't wait to go back!

Tuscan Dream Villa

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with several friends in June and we had an amazing time. The villa was very clean and spacious enough to hold 12 adults and we never felt like we were crowded on top of each other. The villa is well equipped for a large group of people. We had plenty of kitchen cooking & serving items to cook a few dinners in. Linens and towels were provided for us and there is a laundry machine which was very handy to have.

The views are simply amazing and the pool is the perfect spot to relax during the day. It's a very private location with no disturbance from nearby villas or road traffic. San Casciano is a charming and picturesque town with delicious restaurants and cafes to enjoy. Everyone we met was very friendly and very helpful with recommendations for daytrips and resturants. Great location for day trips to other locales around Tuscany. I will definitely stay here again when I return. I couldn't have felt more at home!

Beautiful villa with awesome views!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here at this villa near San Casiano dei Bagni. It was relaxing and quiet. We rented vehicles here and since the roads were easily manoevered, we were able to experience the whole area! The facilities are wonderful!

Lovely time in Tuscany

  • 5 of 5

Two families with 7 children (19-28 years) had the opportunity to stay at Villa Serena for a week in August 2014. We never did VRBO before. We corresponded several times with Linda (Toscana Villas) and she was able to answer all our questions and more! She sent us a detailed list including meeting with the Villa representative - Beatrix and shopping and restaurant recommendations. The Villa is off the beaten trail but that lends to it's Tuscan charm.

It was perfect. Rooms much larger than the pictures. CLEAN property - both inside and out. Even though we were 11, we all had plenty of room to stretch out. Each bedroom has it's own bath -- there was more than enough privacy. Kitchen was more than serviceable for meals (we only ate breakfast there as we were out and about all day.) Used the BBQ one night to enjoy steaks. There was daily maid service (exception of Sunday) to tidy up kitchen and bathrooms. Pool area is very pretty, one side being lined with lavender plants. After a day of sightseeing it was nice to come back and lounge by the pool with a glass of vino! The sunsets were breath taking!

The owner, Serena, came to meet us and was such a gracious hostess. She came with maps of various places to visit and also arranged for us to go on a tour of Montepulciano with a very informative tour guide, Olivia and tour a local winery-- Saluto alla familia Mori! We had some problem accessing the internet that took her a minute to correct.

The Villa is centrally located so that you can venture to both Tuscany and Umbria. There is also a travel book for your use while there.

We enjoyed a wonderful time and are already looking forward to returning to Italy next year -- the food, the wine, the people and the country are not to be missed.

Fantastic Location

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed one of your villas this past fall with a group of 3 other couples. The villa was nestled on the side of a mountain about 2/3 the way up, requiring a steep winding drive to get to it.Wow!, was it worth the drive. The view from this location was something out of a Hollywood movie. The villa in itself was amazing also, with 6 large bedrooms each having their own bathrooms.Kitchen/dining/common area were all as expected with this type of high end property. It was a little too cool for swimming but the pool was very nice as well.We really appreciated the fact that the nearest village was only a short drive,or a long walk ,and that everything we required as far as supplies goes could be purchased there. The people in this area were very friendly, and many interesting attractions are easily within day trip status. We visited Florence,Rome,Pisa, and many other sites while staying here.We also found the prices for groceries, wine and dining out quite reasonable.I would like to thank-you for helping us choose the location of our villa, and also for arranging our in villa meal, the winery trip, and the driver service. Our entire group was impressed with every aspect of the vacation and we have been recommending your services to all that have shown interest in a similar adventure.I believe a few of my friends will be contacting you shortly in the new year.

Thanks again for making our Tuscany adventure so awesome.
