Cannot say enough about the hosts as they are truly excellent to engage with. Communication is responsive and timely. No hassles checking-in or out. The property is clean and is every bit as advertised. I have been going to Dayton annually for 10 years - the best stay out of all of them. A great value and experience.

Jed and his family were in town for the annual Winter Guard International that takes place at the University of Dayton every year.
They were the type of guest you wish you could have every time. They communicated well and followed all the house, rules and guidelines. Our only wishes that they would’ve stayed longer.
Highly recommend and hope to see them again in the future!
House was awesome, very convenient location next to the university. Hosts were super nice and made check in/out quick and easy. Would definitely stay here again.

Ryan and his group were here for a UD Alumni event and they were great guests!
They followed all the House guidelines and were great in communicating and you would’ve barely known they were there. We definitely look forward to hosting them in the repeat future if it works out!

Lori and her friends were great!
They came in for a weekend to visit friends and family, and were a breeze and ease to Host.
We would definitely host her and her friends again and definitely recommend them to others!
Eric and Whit's home was delightful, cozy and had lots of little touches that made it homey. The king bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the space. The back yard looks like a wonderful space in warmer days.

Cheryl and her husband were in town to check out the Air Force Museum and hang in Dayton for a a weekend.
Guests and left the place looking amazing. We were more than happy to host. Them and would definitely love to see them again in the future.
Everything was great! The house was exactly as pictured! There was a TON of space and it was all well appointed. Not to mention, the space in front of the house was completely plowed for us and the sidewalks cleared which made a world of difference. Communication was excellent and it was an awesome stay!

Shea and her friends were in town for a theatre show and spend the weekend in Dayton.
They were excellent guests! Took care of the house like it was their own. Left the place, spotless, followed all the guidelines with check-in and checkout, and had great communication.
We only wish all of our guests were like that. Would definitely rent two again and highly recommend!
The ramps to go in and out were very helpful s I was recovering from knee replacement. The rooms were very comfortable and the kitchen had all necessary items.

Christina and her family were AMAZING guests.
She recently had a knee replacement at the local hospital and chose our place due to the wheelchair ramps as well as walk-in shower with grab handles and permanent seat, etc.
They definitely treated the place like their own and although they were there almost a month you wouldn’t have even known they were there for a weekend. Great guests, 100%.
Great place! Location was amazing. The hosts were communicative and made the check in and check out process seamless. Highly recommend. We loved the shower and beds!
Very clean. It had everything we needed! Eric was always very responsive. The neighborhood was quite and location perfect for us! We especially liked the 3 living areas, the comfy beds, nice furnishings!

Kimberley and her husband and group were amazing!!!! We wish all guests were as friendly and respectable as them.
They left the place in the best possible shape after staying for 10 nights. Seems like they were there less than that for how nice it was upon check out.
Can’t wait to host them again. 😀
Our stay was awesome! Eric and Whit were extremely responsive to any questions we had. They were very helpful in providing sightseeing or local restaurant recommendations! The home itself was well equipped for what we needed. Plenty of amenities to get us started until we could get to the store or items we may have forgotten. The home itself is beautiful and comfortable. Plenty of ‘comfy’ spaces to relax in as well as spread out. The beds were very comfortable. Kitchen had what we needed. Just wish I could have tried out the air fryer! Overall we totally enjoyed our stay! Not sure if we will make it back to Dayton, Ohio, but if we do, we will definitely try to book the Oasis in Oak again. Eric and Whit are wonderful hosts!! Wish them nothing but the best!

Deborah and her family were great! They were here for an extended stay of 10 days, but you would’ve never known it because the place was absolutely immaculate after they checked out.
If only every guest and family could be like them. :-)
They were very polite and communicating, and we would more than happily host them again in an instant. As before, everything was nice and neat and exactly the way it was before they got there, and I know that they took as much respect and love for the house that we do our ourselves.
Thanks again for letting us host you and the family!

About the host
Hosted by Eric Dorney
We have been residents of Historical South Park since 2010! We love adventure and travel which means we love hosting to all walks of life and showing them how much fun Dayton, Ohio can be!
Why they chose this property
We've lived here 15 years and have no plans to leave! Basically 5-10 minutes from everything to 50+ unique locally owned restaurants, breweries, bars, shops, and historical sites!
What makes this property unique
The layout is the biggest thing people love. The house has an entrance on both side of the house that leads to each side having its own living room, bed room, AND bathroom with a large, common kitchen and kitchenette in between!
