This was a very nice stay. The cabin was just right for two adults and two dogs. Just a heads up for future stays, the couch is leather so if you bring a dog make sure to have a blanket for the couch. We used our pet blanket to protect the leather, but other then that it was a nice stay, with curious Alpaca neighbors. We would definitely stay again.
This is a great place to stay. It was very clean, nicely finished and furnished, plenty to do, and Kyler was a very nice, personable, and responsive host.
Everything about this stay was amazing! It’s quiet, comfortable and clean! The alpacas are so fun! We loved that there were plenty of little activities around the property like bocce ball and ax throwing! This is a must stay if you’re in the area!
The alpacas were fun to see, even had some family come out from Detroit Lakes so their little ones could see them and feed them. And they thoroughly enjoyed it. Very quaint vacation spot.

The Alpaca farm cabin was a beautiful place to stay. We loved feeding the alpacas, enjoyed the sauna, did some axe throwing in the yard, and enjoyed a drink on the cabin’s porch at sunset. This place is a gem and worth the trip from Iowa to get there!
We had an amazing overnight stay. The cabin is beautifully decorated and has fun, yet tasteful, little nods to their llamas/alpacas. Speaking of alpacas, we loved getting to feed them in the morning. The porch was a gorgeous spot for my morning cup of coffee, which they had provided, and my son enjoyed the tree swing and our cozy movie night. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
The farm is great. It even got my teens excited about the alpacas and horses. Amazing outdoor space and cozy indoor space. Perfect for a weekend getaway.
Very attractive and well maintained. Beautiful quiet location, perfect for finding trolls. We got to feed alpacas and pet puppies. My granddaughter said it was “the best 18 hours of my life so far!”
Kylar was an amazing host with more than any animal loving, outdoor boy could ask for. Alpacas, dogs, axe throwing, and more. The property was perfect for the three of us. Had a great time!
The Alpaca Cabin couldn’t have been better for us. We brought two teenage kids and a golden retriever. The interior is so nice. Got to feed the alpacas. Lovely mature oak, walnut, and pine trees around the cabin and fire pit. Didn’t get to try the sauna, but looks like just the thing for a cooler time of year. Highly recommended!

About the host
Hosted by Kyler Wendt
We moved from Moorhead, Minnesota to this property in 2022. We spent the first couple years building fences and the cabin. The alpacas have been a lot of fun and we have learned a lot. We have a little store on the property that sells the yarn and other items from our Alpacas.
Why they chose this property
Audubon is a great little city. It is very small but has a gas station/liquor store and a bar/liquor store. Haha. Detroit Lakes is only five minutes away and they have everything else.
What makes this property unique
This property is at a higher elevation than the surrounding area, which gives great views.
