Experience the charm of this beautifully restored early 1900s home in Tipp City, where historic character blends seamlessly with modern amenities. Conveniently located just a half mile walk from downtown, you’ll have easy access to unique shops, local dining, and community events. Perfect for a weekend getaway, family gathering, or peaceful retreat, The Colorful Cottage offers a delightful blend of history, charm, and comfort.

The first floor features a cozy living room, bedroom with a queen size bed, full bathroom, laundry room, a dining nook with a coffee bar, and a spacious kitchen. Upstairs you will find a second bedroom with a full size bed, a focused workspace, a full bathroom, and a game room, featuring a convertible mini ping pong/pool table and a dart board. Please note that the staircase leading to the upper level is steeper than a typical staircase.

Guests will have access to the entire home and yard, except for two locked closets and the shed.

Other things to note: There’s a nearby train track, and trains are required to sound their horns, even during the night. We provide earplugs for light sleepers!

Was an amazing stay! Host was easily accessible if needed and cottage was perfect . Went for a girls weekend we loved the charm and how cottage was decorated. Cottage was easy to find , was exactly like described and had everything you could want as a place away from home !! We will definitely be back !!

This VRBO was mine and my friend’s first VRBO - and it was exactly as advertised, if not better. Entering the house was like walking into comfortable home your grandmas. 2 full bathrooms was so nice and made my sister and my morning routine go so smoothly. The kitchen had everything you needed with a spice rack and vinegar and oil which made cooking so much easier. The location was perfect for day trips to the surrounding areas.

Although we just stayed one night at this property as a halfway point to coming home to see family, it was very charming… The hosts also provides several little things like make up wipes, shampoo, conditioner, body soap etc.

So cute, great attention to detail

House was adorable and well kept! Got warm upstairs and no screen in the upstairs bedroom window. Location close to downtown and highway which is convenient but there is a train about two blocks away that ran throughout the night.

This home is immaculate and lovely! It is very clear that the owners love having a rental and they have put care into the decor choices and finishes and cleanliness! We didn't mind the train but yes it is very close!The backyard could use some car, but we didn't need it. The air conditioning doesn't work quite as well upstairs but there is a downstairs bathroom with some walking to the bathroom. We stayed here for our son's wedding in Vandalia and reception in Troy and used it as a place to relax and get ready. It was a perfect distance between both!Tipp City is indeed a beautiful Ohio small town! We loved our visit. The design and decor was lovely. Thank you! We highly recommend!

The home was very nice. There were a lot of nice touches such as earplugs in the bedroom our dishes and coffee and a froth or and just very very nice very comfortable. Just very welcoming. The hosts were very easy to work with gave plenty of information listed expectations and allowed us to have a very nice stay in Tipp. Will stay there again next time we come through Dayton.
