About tracee

I am the great granddaughter of Gus and Ana Spitzmiller and the granddaughter of Barbara and Gordon Spitzmiller--on the Lorens side. My Dad was Chris Lorens and he was picked from this County to go to the Olympics. I now live in California and recently inherited my dad's property. I have 3 cabins on 6 acres and all are remodeled. I also have a house right where the river enters the lake--if you ever want a 2700 sq. ft. rental, with a Billion dollar view.

tracee purchased this cabin in 1890

Why tracee chose Northwest

Because it is gorgeous and has everything anyone would ever want to feel at home, but in total luxury. You will love the fine wood furniture and the cashmere throw and the art in both the finishing and decor and in the location and view.

And the canoes are included in the rate!

What makes this cabin unique

Just remodeled-- central heat, fireplace with wood included-- fully furnished and equipped, incl a W/D. Egyptian linens, towels, etc. travetine bath and seamless glass shower. Art everywhere and vintage wood furnishings. oriental rugs--just homey and beautiful and luxurious.

Amazing lakefront cabin right near the national park

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is perfect. It has plenty of room for the entire family and has tons of activities nearby. We took the canoes around the lake and saw some elk crossing right near us! There were also moose that came and ate the vegetation next to the property. We had a fire going outside each night and relaxed to the sounds of the Colorado river just 20 feet from us. Such a tranquil and beautiful spot.

Where do you live?

  • 5 of 5

Well, I didn't want to write a review because I don't want people to know about this magical place ; )

But at the same time, I needed it to let people know that our experience was lovely. The cabin looks so much better in person and it had everything we needed it. We loved it. We will be back. Thank you for sharing it with us. This place sure is a treasure! Thank you again.

Diamond in the rough!

  • 5 of 5

When we pulled up we'll admit we weren't sure what we had here, (we saw a weathered lived in little home) then we saw this amazing door! It was funky and said "HEY come on in!" We entered through the funky door and my 22 year old son said "THIS IS AMAZING!!" and it was, it kind of hugs you.......This precious place is nothing modern or over the top so if you're looking for all that new shiny hard STUFF look elsewhere. This tiny home has nothing but history and PERFECT necessities which is all WE were looking for. The amazing windows overlooking Gods Country, and the very busy river that runs along the house put you in this all natural ZEN state of mind.. WE pray to have the opportunity to go back!

Owner's Response: Thank you. What a great description. I have never wanted to change the old logs on the exterior, as our cabins have been in the family since my grandma built them, but I did go in and re-do the interiors with top-flight appliances and furniture and beds and linens, carpet and wood floors, travertine baths, etc. I guess it could worry one as they pull up, but I love that my beautiful door hugged you and said "come on in". Thanks for describing our cabin better than I could! See you again soon. Tracee/owner

Best spring break ever!!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week in one of the 3 cabins on the property and it was everything we could have dreamed of. The property manager was super helpful and was able to accomedate any request for an extra sled, or a snow shovel. The views from the cabin are breathtaking and there is a river in your back yard!! I love just sitting outside by a fire listening to the water. Once it got too cold out we went inside and took full advantage of the fireplace in the living room. We had our boys roasting marshmallows inside in the fireplace. They make sure you have more than enough firewood available. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking a great home cooked dinner. You also have people leaving condiments and other items for the next quest, which was a really neat surprise. We left behind a 1000 piece puzzle that cost us a whole day to assemble and nearly destroyed our family lol, I joke, kind of. Try the marvel comic puzzle at your own risk. Moving on. The local area is filled with awesome places to eat for all price ranges and tastes. Even though you may have to make 30 or 40 minute drives sometimes, the views make the most mundain trip enjoyable. With mountains to hike, slopes to ski, all types of all terrain vehicle fun, you will not run out of things to do. This cabin gives you a place to come back to that feels like home. We will definitely be returning again to this magical place, with friendly people and amazing atmosphere. Stop debating and book this cabin.
