Maui Kaanapali Villas (MKV) is set on 11 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds located on one of the finest beaches in West Maui. With its low-density design and large ocean frontage, the resort never feels crowded. In recent years, MKV has completed a multi-million dollar renovation including landscaping, new pools and spas, gas grills and a beautiful new lobby.

The resort has two swimming pools, two hot tubs, a children's wading pool and two shuffle board courts. Our family loves the Oceanfront pool and it is only steps to one of best beaches in Maui when it is time to build sand castles. There is an on-site water sports rental desk for snorkel gear through paddle boards for you to maximize your enjoyment of the warm clear blue ocean waters. The sugary sand beach extends far into the water and snorkeling is right in front of you. If water sports arenā€™t on your agenda, take a stroll along the Kaanapali Beach Walk which extends from Honua Kai resort to the north through to the Hyatt Regency Maui to the south. The resort also hosts a weekly Mai Tai party on Wednesdays to welcome all guests.

Our completely renovated one bedroom condo is located in the Aloha Building. The 1000 square foot suite includes open-concept kitchen, stainless appliances and tile flooring. It is fully equipped for your vacation enjoyment including a large bedroom with two (2) California King beds. Our view is a garden view with a partial ocean. From the comfort of the living room, watch a famous Maui sunset over the neighbor island of Lanai.

Use our fully equipped kitchen to prepare meals or simply stock snacks and beverages for your convenience. There are several gas grills located around the property for your use and they quickly become social centers as people are preparing meals and sharing stories about their day. If you prefer dining out, Castaway CafƩ is located beachside.

A complimentary trolley runs between MKV and central Kaanapali, including the Whalers Village (5 min ride) where you will find fantastic shopping and dining.

There are plenty of activities within walking distance such as; Kaanapali Golf Course (0.4 miles away), tennis at the Royal Lahaina Tennis Ranch, snorkel or swim at Black Rock, Ceremonial Torch Lighting at the Sheraton Black Rock.

Or venture out further and watch the sunrise on Haleakala, take a drive on the Road to Hana, zip-line through the tropical canopy or enjoy a whale watching tour during the winter whale season.

Our stay here was great. The place was clean and had plenty of space. The staff at the desk were friendly. It was nice to sit on the hotel lanai in the morning and have a cup of coffee. There was a restaurant on site that had great food and friendly staff.

Wonderful stay at this property! Andrew was responsive pre-, during and post-trip. The location is primeā€”feels like your own community and just a nice walk to the buzz of Kaanapali resorts and Whalers Village. Property was clean and spacious. Bedding was very comfortable, plus extras like beach chairs, etc. Maui Kaanapali Villas staff was attentive and responsive. Love the onsite pool and Castaways restaurant.

My husband and I just returned from staying here. It is a lovely unit. The location is fabulous. So close to the beach, walking distance to Whalerā€™s Village. The condo was very clean and not only is the kitchen well stocked, there are plenty of beachy things, a cooler and blue ice, beach chairs, snorkeling gear. Itā€™s close right between Black Rock and Airport Beach which are both great places to SCUBA dive and snorkel. Andrew was great to work with. Canā€™t wait to come back.

Great Location!

We liked being in a central spot. The condominiums have two beautiful and well-maintained pools with hot tubs. Access to the beach was a breeze, and we especially appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea in the mornings and the two big water filters in the lobby.

This was our second stay at Maui Kaanapali Villas. Great place, great location, beautiful pool area. Staff was helpful and pleasant. The trolly stops right in front and is very convenient. Had some good meals at the Castaway, and many other restaurants are a reasonable walk away. Weā€™ll be back.

Amazing stay!

We absolutely loved staying here during our vacation to Maui. The hotel and property is gorgeous, and the extra space and kitchen in the condo was a huge bonus. Condo has everything you need, a great view, comfy beds, and lots of extras to make the stay so much more enjoyable. We had to drag ourselves away to come back home. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Short stay in Kaanapali

Overall property is nice and as advertised. The communication was excellent, and we had a great time. The only clunky bit was the check in process as our names were not on the reservation at the time of check-in. Thus I had to prove on site that we had a reservation. Other than that all was positive.

Fun times in a great spot with a good beachside restaurant. Nice pool. Friendly informed staff.

Unit might benefit from some attention to the smaller details like improving the lighting. It was hard to read with low wattage bulbs everywhere. Unit was pretty well equipped but short on teaspoons. Lots of nice clean towels.

MKV was the first place we traveled with our young children. We immediately fell in love with MKV and continued to come back as guests until we decided to buy. We remodeled the condo in a fashion that we are proud to share with others. We know that you have many choices of where to stay so when you're our guest we want you to say, 'I made the right choice' from the moment you arrive.

MKV offers what we believe to be the perfect Hawaiian experience. A large, low density property with lots of green space right on a "Class A" beach. Unlike newer resorts, you will appreciate the feeling of space on the property and around the pools. The environment creates a wonderful social experience - chat to fellow travelers at the pool, share a cocktail at the weekly complimentary mai tai party and exchange stories of your day while you cook dinner at the gas grilling stations around the property.
