great house bear slopes

The property was very nice and my family enjoyed being there. We arrived a few hours early and check in was not a problem. We did run out of toilet paper on the last day but otherwise the stay was great.

Enjoyed our stay

We really enjoyed the location of the property and the size. Property was clean. We were disappointed as we rented this property because of arcade game and the kids tent which my toddler was so excited to sleep in. The arcade game and tent were both broken! Other than that it was a great stay.

Amazing home

This property was perfect for our very small girls getaway weekend. Lots of room to spread out. Each of us had our own bedroom. The home was very clean, well equipped, nicely decorated and in a great location. We laughed and played games by the fireplace all weekend. Would love to come back!

Fun Getaway

Very nice property in a beautiful location. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen had all supplies needed to cook at the house. We were disappointed that the grill had only enough propane to grill a few burgers, and we were told it was our responsibility to replace the propane tank if we needed more. The golf game in the pictures was also out of order and pushed into the basement corner. The pool and clubhouse were closed due to Covid, but they really are not within walking distance from the property if you have children. We stayed with another family and had plenty of room for everyone. Overall a fun getaway!

Great Stay and Location

The property was excellent. It is about a 100 yard walk to Kicking Horse Lift to go skiing. It was great watching the NFL games on the big screen downstairs. The Nintendo in the loft was a nice touch. The kitchen was very well stocked.

Definitely Home Away from Home

You won’t regret staying in this well appointed cozy home with plenty of room to stretch out! To our surprise the slopes were a short block away & due to the extreme snow received, we were able to ski-in-out to the shorter lift. It was perfect for our 3 daughters, their husbands, 2 teenagers & us - Pappy & LeeLee who stayed in the loft w/the girls. In addition, the fireplace was great to come to after a long day on the slopes which provided lots of heat! Besides having everything we needed & more, we’d like to provide a few suggestions to make the stay even more fabulous for future guests: 1) Description of house says 2 full beds on main floor, but they are actually queens. We almost didn’t rent this house due to the “full” bed description since our son-in-laws are 6’+. Very nice surprise to see “queen” beds. 2) Front Bathroom - lots of wall space to add extra towel bar. Hard to spread out towels & hang things when loft & front bedroom all share one bathroom - 6 people. 3) Loft & Back Bedroom - add hooks in studs (for sturdiness) to be able to hang things. These two rooms have no closet space so it would be great to have several hooks in each room. 4) Add shades to upper windows in Living Room due to extreme glare on TV. We preface, none of these listed items kept us from having one of the best family vacations. We definitely would stay here again!

Perfect Summer Getaway (July2019)

This cabin served as home base for our hiking vacation. It had everything we needed and more. Plenty of room and a full stocked kitchen with everything you need for cooking. The location of the cabin was perfect being located on Ski Granby mountain. There’s hiking trails straight out the front door if you don’t want to leave the cabin, or Grand Lake, Granby Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park are all close by. Plus, winter park is really close by as well. The beds at the cabin were perfect and comfortable. The loft had plenty of room for kids to sleep and play. The basement was really neat for movie nights and was always the place cool down from a warm day. There is no A/C in the cabin but it never took long to cool it down after opening some windows and turning in the fans. Overall this cabin is a must stay and we will be coming back as many times as we can!!

Perfect family getaway

We brought a couple families together at this home for a wedding at the lodge. We loved the location! Great trails, walking distance from the pool and mountain biking trails. Spacious home with lots of toys and a big open kitchen for meals and gathering together. Just perfect.

Perfect location with a well equipped kitchen.

The location of the home is great for ski in/ski out. The home itself was very clean and had everything you would need for the stay. We had no issues whatsoever and everyone in our group agreed that we would be coming back!

nice space but wouldn't stay again

The space it self is nice. It fit us just right. The downstairs couch and entertainment center with TV is great for when younger ones go to sleep in the loft bunk beds (because there's no door for those). But several things we didn't like. We didn't like that the oven when turned on smoked the whole house because of lack of being cleaned. The pans were unusable because they have been over used without proper care. There's no iron or hair dryer. The Electricity went out in half the house randomly and it took over an hour to find the electric box (it's outside) and no staff was answering even though it was during open hours. FYI there's no AC but the nights are cool so that's not a problem. The staff was rude to us when we voiced complaints about the oven asking why it took us 5 days to report (because we didn't use it for 5 days?). So I probably wouldn't stay in this unit again.
