About Thomas Speers
Tom and Suzanne Speers are interested in providing you with a true 'seashore' experience. 'Sunrise – Sunset' is the name which we have given our unit on the fourth floor of Santa Barbara South because in the morning you can see the sun rise from the ocean and in the evening see the sun set over the bay.
Thomas Speers purchased this Condo in 2012
Why Thomas Speers chose Ocean City
Tom's mother was raised in Ocean City and his grandfather, Capt. Jack Jernee, was the captain of the Ocean City Beach Patrol in the 1930s. So Tom grew up enjoying many of the delights of Ocean City: days on the beach, body surfing and evenings on the Boardwalk. It is our wish that you too will fall in love with Ocean City, a great place to vacation with friends and family.
What makes this Condo unique
'Sunrise – Sunset' has been completely renovated. There is a full kitchen complete with new dishwasher, microwave, electric stove and refrigerator. There are Quartz countertops, all new cabinets and undercabinet lighting to provide a fun environment for those interested in cooking. The sitting area has a queen-size sofa bed, entertainment center and shuttered windows. The hallway leading to the bedroom is filled with memorabilia of the Ocean City Beach Patrol and Ocean City Academy. After World War II, Capt. Jack Jernee purchased an old lifesaving station at 36th and Central Avenue in Ocean City and turned it into a summer camp for boys which he named the Ocean City Academy. The purpose of OCA was to teach nautical skills. Several years later, Capt. Jernee and his wife converted the school into a guest home which was called Jernee Manor. The bedroom has a kingsize bed and a large closet. From the bedroom one can see the Flanders Hotel and ferris wheel at Castaway Cove on the boardwalk. A sliding glass door opens from the bedroom onto a private balcony which is a great place eat to meals or just hang out, relax and read a book.

Lovey but why oh why didn't we bring our own pillows...??
This condo is lovely, beautifully and thoughtful decorated. We ran out of space when packing our car though and left our own pillows at home and that ended up being our biggest mistake, while the bed was comfy, the pillows were flat and lumpy and in desperate need for replacing. We loved everything else about our stay, not too far from the beach, kitchen well stocked with essentials and while there was limited storage for food, the top of the fridge held what we needed as "shelf" space. Be aware, the bedroom side is the side with the amusement park so it does take a little adjusting to sleep with the sounds of the roller coaster screams until midnight but by the second night it was fine. Condo pool was clean and a nice place to relax.
“I want to stay here forever”
I stayed at this property with my husband and 2 kids, and we had a wonderful stay. We were impressed the moment that we walked in the door. The apartment was extremely clean and the decor was beautiful. We immediately felt right at home. In fact, the first night when I was tucking my 3 year old into bed, she declared, “I want to stay here forever!” In addition to the beautiful unit, we were also very pleased with the building - it was well maintained and secure and my kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool. We hope to come back again next summer.
This was the best property that I have ever rented in Ocean City and I have been coming here for 26 years. Beautiful, updated, clean. Everything was perfect.
My family had stayed there 3 yrs very nice place
The condo was very clean and has everything you need to cook. Close to everything at the shore .
The condo was the perfect location for our young family. We were able to walk anywhere on the boardwalk, ACME, local shops, local farmer’s market, etc. The condo was beautiful and had everything we needed. Thanks for a great experience! We hope to be back in 2019!
Thanks for your review. Glad you enjoyed your stay in Ocean City and hopefully made some fond family memories. Tom and Suzanne Speers
