Excellent communication, including a checkin message upon arrival to make sure everything was going okay. Cottage was stocked beyond expections with kitchen supplies (though we mostly ate out), toiletries in the bathroom, games. Loved all the trinkets and decor. Appreciated the cards with suggested places to visit and things to do in the area. Would definitely stay here again!

Stone’s Throw Cottage is a small gem in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to attractions like the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, La Crosse Queen Cruises, apple orchards, parks, restaurants and shopping. The cottage was well stocked with kitchen supplies, games, comfy seating arrangements, 3 season porch and unique artwork. I appreciated the motion sensor lighting which made coming in after dark or getting up in the middle of the night much easier. A wonderful 4 night stay.

My wife and I have lived in Wisconsin since 1983 but had not visited the La Crosse area in all these years. To celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary, we decided to travel to the area to do some hiking and exploring and the Stones Throw Cottage was the ideal home base. Well stocked kitchen, comfy bed in the master bedroom and wonderful sunroom for morning coffee. Short drive to Granddad's Bluff and Hixon Forrest for hiking. Downtown and Mississippi river front just a few miles away with many dining options. Will definitely stay again when visiting the La Crosse area.

Stone's Throw Cottage

What a cozy place to spend a few days. Loved sitting on the front porch and in the three-season room. It was close to the Grandad Bluff which we went to everyday.

Cute little place to stay; even though we chose our stay on a weekend it was colder that the arctic circle, it was a perfect place to stay. Close to shopping, downtown and was reasonable for our weekend at a music festival. Would come back in the summer for some close by hiking. Lacrosse had plenty going on!
