About Doraleen Day
I have been to all the 50 states and have concluded that this part of Utah is among the most scenic and interesting places. I love outdoor adventure and wild life
Doraleen Day purchased this House in 2011
Why Doraleen Day chose Thompson
I chose this location because basically you have the whole place to your self ! This is the cheapest place to stay , but the irony is it just happens to be the best place to stay if you like wilderness and wide open spaces and clean air. Those who like rush hour and dog eat dog will feel out of place here.
What makes this House unique
The most unique feature of this property is the ease of access to thousands of miles of atv trails and sight seeing The first impression of this ghost town may not be that great, but there is a lot to do and see in the immediate area.

Great location 30 min from Arches NP
Our family of 6 had a great time staying in Bonanza cabin. Location is quiet and close to the road leasing to Arches NP. House has all necessary supplies and even more, kitchen well stocked, ample space for sleep.
We enjoyed the Bonanza House #5. Only issues are very loud indoor air conditioner unit and very low water pressure for showers. Star gazing was amazing. Enjoyed exploring Sego Canyon and just a short drive to Moab.
Perfect place with my three dogs!!
Fantastic as usual.
Our 3rd year staying here and it’s great each time.
Great place to stay
We are repeat customers of this RV and rental park and enjoy it more each time we stay. The staff is friendly and helpful and the location is great for launching to the nearby attractions as well as ATV riding right from the park. We stayed in one of the rental houses this time and it was spotless, well appointed and charming.
Very affordable option when traveling to Moab
We rented the bunkhouse cabin, very nice accommodations. Pics are a little misleading on the website however, it makes it seem more secluded. It is an RV park. I missed that in the description? We pulled in and I thought no way this is the place?! It was and I was very concerned. However, everyone was very quite and respectful of the property. The WiFi didn’t work but our cell network worked just fine. There were plenty of towers and hot water for showers. All the basics for the kitchen including coffee and filters. There is some cool stuff to see just north of the site if you don’t want to travel into Moab. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
this property is in the ghost town of thompson springs ut , and is near 2 other ghost towns that are all accessible by car or atv's . 4500 year old indian pictographs are a short hike or ride from the property, Hundreds of dinosaur tracks are a short atv or jeep ride away. Antelope herds often pass through the grounds. Recently myself and 7 other people left the front yard on atv's and rode one way 504 miles to Arizona and never crossed private property. This property is ground zero for the real out doors person who love open space and adventure.
