This house is located within walking distance of both downtown Lexington and the University of Kentucky. Transylvania University is also nearby. Rupp Arena is 3/4ths of a mile away. The apartment is very spacious, with high ceilings and fireplaces in two rooms, and was recently remodeled and restored. The house dates to 1908 and features a bedroom, living room, dining room and kitchen. I have traveled extensively myself and my aim is to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Wasn't happy with the place at all. Looked clean but felt dirty. Did not feel safe in the neighborhood. Left after one night. That was enough for us.

Thanks for your feedback - as of May 2026 we have a new cleaning team. However, the neighborhood is very safe, it’s mostly college students and young professionals.
The property I booked was not available, so I was directed to another property. I did not have instructions or an address for the "other" property until after 6 p.m., and when I arrived, it was so run down I didn't even bother to go inside. I opted for a hotel.

The listing wasn’t available due to a website error. We offered the guest a refund, or the option of another well-reviewed listing nearby and she chose the latter. She did have the check-in instructions on time and never contacted us in any way, so we wonder if she went to the wrong property by mistake. We would have been happy to assist her if she had contacted us. In any case, her review should not be attached to this property.
The property was double-booked through Vrbo and the other site you won't let me mention. When I arrived in the middle of a downpour and didn't have the entry code, couldn't find the front door, and couldn't get ahold of Vrbo customer assistance -- I finally just went in through the side door at 11:30pm Someone was already there, asleep, and they could have just come out and shot me. He was chill, but he didn't have to be. Congrats, boss moves all around.
Finally getting ahold of Vrbo customer assistance, they couldn't book another place for me "because we're in Egypt". Which doesn't keep them from reserving a place for me. But I also received an email the next day "to set expectations about what kind of compensation you will recieve". That is, you won't get anything more than a refund. You people almost killed me, and I'm never using Vrbo again.
It was an amazing place to stay for the price and convenience. We saw Nahko and the Medicine People at Manchester Hall and everything was perfect about this vacation. Thank you for such an affordable and comfortable place to rest.

Historic Space
This property was definetly better than staying at a hotel. It had a vintage charm! Most of the basic needs were met, although there was not enough sheets and blankets (good thing our kids bring their own blankies). There were some cobwebs and the couch could use a vacuum (which I probably only noticed while making up a bed for my son there). It was very kind of the property owner to provide milk and cereal; it helped get our morning off to a quicker start! The check-in process was a breeze! For being in a historic town, this was a nice option. I would probably recommend it more for singles or couples.

We appreciate your feedback and are glad you enjoyed our historic property. As of May 2026 we have a new cleaning team.
Incredibly roomy apartment close to UK and downtown. It felt like we had an entire house to ourselves. Everything was clean and the bed was super comfy. The neighborhood is a little rundown but in a college way not a ghetto way. Would definitely stay there again.
