About this property
Maple Cozy Cabin at Lost Trails
Overview / Setting
Nestled among four other cabins thoughtfully placed across 45 acres of wooded land, the Maple Cabin is an Amish-built log retreat surrounded by mature maple, cedar, oak, sycamore, walnut, and other native trees. Located just steps from tranquil ponds, Maple offers a quiet, nature-focused setting designed primarily for couples or individual travelers seeking a peaceful escape that feels removed without being isolated. Walking trails, wildlife sightings, and wooded views create a calm atmosphere just minutes from historic downtown Madison.
The Space
Inside, the Maple Cabin features a comfortable primary bedroom with a queen-size bed, along with an additional flexible sleeping area that includes bunk beds if needed. The living space is cozy and well suited for quiet evenings—whether watching a favorite movie, reading a good book, or enjoying time together indoors.
The cabin includes a fully equipped kitchen with cookware, utensils, pots and pans, a Keurig coffee maker, a standard 12-cup coffee maker, a two-slice toaster, and an outdoor gas grill, making it easy to prepare meals at your own pace.
A covered front porch with rocking chairs and a ceiling fan provides a comfortable place to enjoy morning coffee or unwind in the evening as deer, wild turkeys, and other wildlife move through the property.
Outdoors, Property & Location
Guests are welcome to explore scenic walking trails throughout the property, fish in Cattail Pond, or relax by the firepit just outside the cabin. The property is intentionally quiet and uncrowded, with cabins oriented to follow the natural landscape rather than arranged in a straight line.
Despite its peaceful woodland setting, Maple is conveniently located near a variety of destinations, attractions, and annual events:
