Enjoy this spacious and fully appointed 2-bedroom mountain suite in a serene and quiet setting with a courtyard and a mountain creek right outside your window as well as incredible close-up views of the Three Sisters and Rundle Mountain ranges.

The furniture throughout the suite is of the highest quality in both design and comfort. Both bedrooms feature queen beds with luxurious pillow-top mattresses and down duvets with high thread-count linen. A queen sofa bed in the living room provides additional sleeping space. The master bedroom is connected to a spacious spa-inspired bathroom with granite counter tops, his and her sinks, a large soaker tub and a slate/glass shower. There is also a second full bathroom with a glass-walled shower.

The suite is set up with impressive amenities including flat screen televisions in the living room and master bedroom, a blu-ray player, free wi-fi and iPod docking station. The suite is kept comfortable using an environmentally friendly state-of-the-art geothermal in-floor heating and cooling system.

Stainless steel appliances, including a gas range, in the kitchen are complemented with granite counter tops to make cooking easy and enjoyable. The kitchen is fully outfitted with cookware for creating meals. The dining area features a dinner table seating six. The living room boasts an inviting rundle rock fireplace and opens up onto a deck with a large gas BBQ overlooking the courtyard.

The building itself hosts many recreational opportunities, including an excellent fitness room, a cozy lounge with a pool table, and a fabulous large outdoor Jacuzzi with a panoramic view of the mountains.

In addition, the unit provides 2 heated secure underground parking stalls for the exclusive use of our guests as well as a storage locker for skis, mountain bikes, golf clubs or any other equipment. The building is secure, requiring card key entry to provide you with a safe environment.

About Dorthe Christensen

Chris Carlson and Dorthe Christensen, residents of Canmore for the past 14 years. Chris grew up in Alberta with an RCMP officer for a dad (Canadian Police Officer) and Dorthe was born and raised in Denmark. We lived in Denmark, Banff, Vancouver and Seattle before settling in Canmore while our two daughters were still in school. We have used VRBO for our own vacation needs many times ourselves and know the concerns facing a guest when booking a place.

Why Dorthe Christensen chose Canmore

Canmore is situated just outside Banff National Park, which means it is still in the mountains, but much less busy than neighbouring Banff. The area offers amazing views, fresh air and a lovely, friendly community as well as world-class restaurants and great shopping. Still, it is only about a 45-minute drive to the city of Calgary and all it has to offer, including a great university for our daughters and a major airport for our own get-aways. We love living here and would like to share our town and area with others through our vacation rental condo.

What makes this condo unique

We chose this condo because we knew it would be of the very highest quality; we know the builder, and bought our permanent residence from them – exceptional workmanship!

We loved the location: All other vacation rental properties in Canmore are further out from downtown, whereas this is away from the busy-ness of downtown, but still within walking distance of everything.

Our unit is quiet and has a great view and it has underground secure parking, with 2 parking spots.

We handpicked this particular unit with all this in mind before they even started digging....

The amenities of the place are unbeatable – the billiard room, an excellent fitness room and a panoramic outdoor jacuzzi.

We also really like that the building has Geothermal heating and is built with sustainability in mind. Also, the building has mix of full time residents and vacation properties – they and we value respect and quietness and we may want to live in the apartment ourselves some day.

Fantastic mountain condo

This condo unit had everything we needed for a fantastic mountain getaway. Clean living space, comfortable beds, views of mountains from the patio, great location for a walk into town, access to outdoor hottub, two underground parking spaces, bear spray to take with you on hikes, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a very easy check-in/check-out process. Dorthe was the perfect host and we hope to be back soon.

Ever so clean and quiet and beautiful

location wise, it is hard to find a better choice. it is top notch vacation home back on a creek surrounded by mountain. Dorthe is a great host. the space is ever clean, quiet and beautiful, and can easily accommodate six people. we had thirdteen people split between a unit suited for ten, and this unit, suited for six. so if you happened to have a large group, you may want to give this a trỵ

Wonderful place!

We had a great time on our Canmore/Banff vacation! The condo was perfect for our trip. We met up with some friends that we vacation with and all four of us (two couples) were pleased with the beauty, cleanliness and convenience of the condo. Dorthe was very quick answering any questions that we had. The condo comes with everything you need to go out for your hiking and sightseeing adventures, including a cooler and bear spray. The only thing we had to add to the list of needs was bar soap for the showers, but otherwise paper products, plenty of towels, dish and laundry soap, condiments and some spices and other kitchen items were fully supplied. The beds and furniture were comfortable and the condo is more spacious and beautiful than the pictures even show. We would happily stay in this condo again when visiting the area. For those going...don't miss the Ink Pots hike- we didn't get to enjoy it this time around and were sorry, but it is worth it! Also, Mystaya Canyon-take some side trails-beautiful! And don't miss Gauchos Brazilian Steakhouse-delicious!!

Felt like home. Simple an amazing, accommodating stay...

Our stay in Canmore was such a pleasant and seamless experience. Dorthe's condo felt like a home away from home. She was extremely accomodating and made sure my wife and I had everything we needed in the house. She even sent us directions to the condo around all of the construction! We loved the town of Canmore. It's not as busy as the town 20 minutes northeast and the food/shops in my opinion are way better!

We spent 3 nights in a cabin near Lake Louise, and one night on Moraine Lake. Honestly, the wife and I were talking about how we should have spent 7 nights at Dorthe's condo as opposed to just 4 nights. That's how comfortable we felt.

After hiking in the Kananaskis, Yoho, and Banff, it was so relaxing to kick off our boots and jump into the hot tub (one floor up). All dinnerware is available for you for your family meals. The wife and I ate our dinners out on the balcony because you have an incredible mountain view of the 3 sisters. Towels were readily available. No need for bottled water before the hikes because you can fill up right from the fridge. The cleanliness of the condo also impressed us a lot. Before leaving, we even did all of our laundry from the trip!

Overall experience, 5 stars. I would book with Dorthe over any hotel in Banff. It's such a simple drive to anywhere you need to be.
