This cabin has the most beautiful views. Very remote and relaxing!! We hiked through the woods until we made it to waters edge. We went kayaking with kayaks host provided. Our host thought of everything. Long dirt road to get there and little rough but worth it if you truly want to escape.

One of our favorite treehouse’s that we’ve stayed in! This weekend trip was so relaxing and fun! The view and the peacefulness of this place was so worth the long dirt roads. The host was so sweet and thought of everything! We loved all of the goodies that we were gifted with. We loved everything about this trip! We enjoyed watching the sunset while either sitting on the balcony or chilling in the hot tub. The kayaks were great and the lake was so calm. We decided to go out to eat one night. Definitely recommend The Grill at Whispering Woods. I didn’t want to leave, but we will absolutely be coming back. We had the best time!

I grew up in Jacksonville, Arkansas. My husband grew up down the road on a farm a few miles away. My dad served in the Marine Corps, and after his retirement we lived near the Air Force Base. I met my husband and after years in the West Little Rock area, we eventually moved to the Mountain Home area, more specifically Elizabeth, Arkansas.

Our journey to the lake began when we discovered a small piece of property in Elizabeth, Arkansas. It had a cozy little cabin on it that we saw great potential in. We remodeled and fixed it up, then gradually purchased the surrounding land with the dream of making this place our home.

During the pandemic, we decided to take a leap of faith. We sold nearly everything we owned, put the rest into storage, and moved into that little cabin while we built our main home. Once our house was finished, we realized how special that cabin had been to us — and decided to share it with others.

That decision grew into something we truly love. From there, we built a treehouse and later a modern cabin, each designed to offer a unique and memorable stay.

We don’t just enjoy hosting — we genuinely love creating experiences. Our goal is to give guests a moment in time where they can slow down, breathe, reconnect, and enjoy life without the pressures of the outside world. Sharing this peaceful place and watching others create special memories here is something we truly enjoy.

Why they chose this property

We chose this property during the pandemic while searching for lake land that we hoped would one day become our retirement place. When we first saw it, the land was completely grown up with trees, briars, and thick brush—but we could see its potential right away.

Little did we know just how breathtaking the views would be once we began working the land. We invested in equipment and carefully cleared just enough to open up the view from the cabin, all while intentionally leaving as many trees as possible to preserve the natural beauty and peaceful setting.

As we developed the property—building the roads and shaping it into what you see today—we truly began to realize how special this place was. That’s when we decided it was too beautiful not to share.

Now, we love welcoming others to experience the views, the quiet, and the sense of escape that we felt the very first time we saw its potential. Sharing this place with our guests has become one of the most rewarding parts of our journey.

What makes this property unique

Once you arrive, you immediately feel a sense of peace and serenity, surrounded by the natural beauty of the land. The property is rich with wildlife. It’s common to see deer, squirrels, and turkeys moving through the area, and even eagles soaring overhead—there is an active nest right on the property. Being this close to nature is something truly special.

And then there are the views. Especially in the evenings, the scenery is breathtaking—calm, expansive, and deeply peaceful. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, breathe deeper, and forget the stresses of everyday life. Many guests tell us it’s hard to leave once they’ve experienced it.

This property isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to escape, reconnect, and truly relax. This is why our property is so unique.
