This newly renovated 1910 century home is located just minutes from the heart of downtown in one of the most charming and quiet areas of Calgary. Walk, ride or train to any of Calgary's attractions easily from this centrally located cottage. The two bedrooms are well appointed luxurious spaces that can comfortably sleep 4. The bathroom has heated floors and a rain shower. The kitchen is a chefs dream with stainless steel appliances, gas stove, dishwasher, washer/dryer and fridge with ice maker for those happy hour drinks on the deck while watching the local commuters ride or walk home from work. Everything is new in this lovely home. The front yard is fenced and private with a great deck with BBQ for entertaining or relaxing. Groceries, liquor, and baking are available from either local/organic shops or large chains only a block away. The bright living/dining area has large SMART TV, stereo, bar and dining for 6-8 people.

Homeowners are long time Calgarians and proud Sunnyside residents who live next door to this rental property. We waited 20 years to purchase this home and turn it into the charming rental cottage we knew it could be. The transformation of this home has been very rewarding and we look forward to sharing this lovely home and our neighborhood with people from all over the world. We love to travel as well and have tried to make this a place we would love to rent when visiting another city. We hope you love it as much as we do.

This property is on the same block as our home and needed some loving. We have lived here for 20 years and think this is the best neighborhood in Calgary. This property is fully upgraded without loosing its old charm which was our goal.

Very clean and well appointed and supplied. Convenient walking distance to lots of amenities.

Really loved everything about this cottage. It was tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture and beds. Great shopping close by, Kensington area has wide variety of restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. Only 15 minutes walk to downtown. Nothing but positive things to say, will definitely be back.

Fantastic property in an awesome location

My husband and I stayed at the property with our 14 month old son. The property itself is beautiful, with lots of extra touches that make it feel nice and homely. The location can't be beaten - beautiful suburb, close to transport and within walking distance to downtown and the supermarket. The owners also catered for my son with a crib and highchair, taking the stress out of travelling with a baby. We loved our stay here!

Home sweet home in Calgary

We stayed here for four months during an academic sabbatical. The house is absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. It's been recently renovated and it's nicely furnished, quiet and peaceful. It was also warm and cozy in the dead of winter. The kitchen has great appliances, and it's fully equipped, though gourmet cooks might be a little underwhelmed with the cooking gear. There are some spices and pantry goods, which is nice, and also a Keurig. The bathroom is lovely, and with heated floors it's very cozy. The master bed was very comfortable and so was the big sofa in the living room. Nice TV. Easy parking. The closet and storage space was tight for four months of winter clothes, and we wished there was a bookshelf, but for a shorter stay the storage should be plenty. And the neighborhood is fantastic-- a peaceful residential area but two blocks from a hip shopping area with tons of good restaurants and fun shops. Also nearby is the train stop, and the train system is wonderful and very easy. Safeway is right past the train stop. And there are two great park areas very near the house that we were happy to have for dog-walking. The rent is high, compared to the rental market in Calgary, but it's in line with other furnished vacation rentals, and for us the neighborhood, the dog friendliness, and having a house to ourselves was worth it. I didn't have much interaction with the owners, but they seem very nice and very accommodating, and they're right on the same block if you ever need anything.
