This beautiful area of Connecticut, is where my husband and I set down roots, and where we have lovingly fixed up this property throughout the years. Our private home sits next door to this charming little farmhouse that we are so pleased to open up to travelers. We have always enjoyed hosting friends and family for all occasions in our own home, and we are excited to offer a space that is private, warm and welcoming to our guests. We really enjoyed our 5 night stay at the farmhouse! Everything was perfect from the lovely hand written greeting at the entrance to the colonial touches intermingled with modern conveniences. The farmhouse was not just a place to spend the night, it was a wonderful place to relax! The view from the back yard was spectacular and the pond was a great spot for family photos!

We traveled from Ohio to visit family, and this home was absolutely perfect for our stay. Warm, cozy, and tucked away from busy roads, it offered stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Impeccably clean, and beautifully put together to preserve its historic charm. I cannot recommend this property enough

Such a charming cozy house and beautiful property, it was the there perfect weekend away from the city. Plenty of restaurants and hiking 10-15 minutes away by car and the kitchen had plenty of utensils for meals in. Check in process was very easy and Jodi left a great book with recommendations, easy to follow instructions how to use any of the electronics and appliances and she was very responsive. Definitely recommend this home for anyone looking to stay in the area!

We LOVED our stay here and plan on returning. It was six minutes from Ski Sundown. The house was clean, cozy, had everything we needed, making it very easy. It snowed a bunch and the walkways were shoveled immediately, the wood-burning stove was a treat and they even re-stocked firewood and left it by the door for us. Thank you!

Our stay was a fantastic fishing trip—though we definitely wish it had been longer. Communication with Jodi was excellent right from the start, and she made everything so easy. The house is a beautifully remodeled, cozy modern farmhouse with spacious rooms and ample closet space. It’s very family-friendly, and the huge backyard was a highlight—we loved relaxing by the fire pit in the evenings. The kitchen is the star of the home: bright, stylish, and perfectly equipped with everything you could need. Our host also prepared all the basics for us (ice, dishwasher pods, coffee, tea, garbage bags, shower gel and more) and left a helpful folder with local recommendations and places to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back soon!

This beautiful area of Connecticut, is where my husband and I set down roots to raise our children, and where we have lovingly fixed up this property throughout the years. Our private home sits next door to this charming little farmhouse that we are so pleased to open up to travelers. We have always enjoyed hosting friends and family for all occasions in our own home, and we are excited to offer a space that is private, warm and welcoming to our guests. We hope you will feel right at home and enjoy this peaceful spot as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

The farmhouse is nestled on top of a hilly and wooded area you often find in northwest, CT. The neighborhood is quiet and serene and feels remote, while only being minutes to town. With the large field and surrounding woods, as well as hiking trails within walking distance, it really is a nature lovers dream.

What makes this property unique

Built in 1767, this quintessential old New England property has the charm only found in a 260 year old home. It is one of the oldest homes in this area of town, and has been restored to accommodate modern needs but still reflect the simplicity of a colonial home.
