Family gathering celebrating the end of summer met at the Barn. Host was an excellent communicator and provide clear directions. A handy guide was available that addressed all questions. Host quickly responded to messages and took extra steps to have everything in working order prior to our arrival. Kitchen was well stocked and a nice blackstone grill is available. Water access is easy and new docks are an added bonus.

We had such a wonderful stay at Lake View Barn! There was plenty of space with lots of comfortable beds and sleeping arrangements that worked perfectly for our family. We especially loved the different seating areas, which made it easy to gather together for meals or enjoy the beautiful view. The dock was one of our favorite spots, and we really appreciated that the owners let us use their kayaks. It added so much fun to our stay and gave us even more opportunities to enjoy the lake.More than anything, we made special family memories that we'll cherish for years to come. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly getaway! Thank you!

This was a great space for what our family needed. There was space for the kids to hang out and space for the adults. A ground level bedroom for the ones that weren’t able to use the stairs. The hosts were accommodating and easy to get ahold of. Thank you!

We’re a family of six who loves creating spaces where people can rest, reconnect, and make memories that last. With four kids and an active lifestyle, we know the joy of quality time together — whether it’s early mornings on the dock, paddleboarding on calm water, or evenings around a fire with laughter and stories.

When we discovered this beautiful spot on Lake Wabaunsee, we knew it was something special. We’re grateful to carry on the legacy and experience that Roger and Cindy created here, preserving the charm and hospitality that make this place so inviting. Our family has added our own touches to make it even more welcoming, and we’re thrilled to share it with you.

Whether you come for adventure, relaxation, or simply a change of pace, we hope this lakefront home becomes your happy place too — a space where you can breathe deeply, reconnect, and leave refreshed and inspired.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Built in the style of a classic barn, this lakefront home offers a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Set on the clear, spring-fed waters of Lake Wabaunsee in the heart of the Flint Hills, it blends rustic Kansas heritage with modern comfort and unforgettable views.

Our family fell in love with the charm and character of this property — its barn-inspired design, cozy gathering spaces, and the peaceful rhythm of life by the lake. We’re honored to carry forward the legacy of this special place and share it with others who appreciate both adventure and relaxation.

Whether you’re enjoying coffee on the deck at sunrise, kayaking on the calm waters, or watching the sunset glow over the hills, this home offers a setting where memories are made and time slows down — a true Kansas treasure.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

From the moment you step onto the property, you’re greeted with a peaceful lakefront view framed by the rustic beams of the barn-style home. The covered patio opens to a lush, green lawn that gently slopes down to the water’s edge — the perfect spot for morning coffee, family meals, or quiet reflection as the sun rises over the spring-fed lake.

The home’s barn architecture adds a touch of Kansas heritage, with large windows and open decks that capture the beauty of Lake Wabaunsee. Down by the shore, a two-level dock invites you to relax, fish, or launch a kayak into the calm, crystal-clear water. Mature trees provide just the right amount of shade, and from every angle, the Flint Hills roll softly in the distance, creating a serene, picture-perfect backdrop.

Whether you’re sharing laughter around the outdoor table, watching the kids explore the shoreline, or soaking in the golden glow of sunset over the lake, this space embodies tranquility, family connection, and the simple joy of lake life
