We loved staying here!
We stayed here on a trip to VT for a football weekend- it was perfect! The home is charming, cozy & warm- exactly what we were looking for. There is a stream out back where we strung a hammock & relaxed while our dog roamed safely about.
Amy could not have been nicer- she even came to walk our dog while we were at the game.
We cannot wait to come back!
Loved the cabin - just what we were looking for. Cute, clean, great stream in the back that the dogs loved, quiet - perfect for a couple day getaway!!
Cozy cabin in the beautiful hills of West Virginia.
This cabin is a great example of preserving an historic structure and updating it just enough! It has modern conveniences but while inside you can feel how it must have been to live in the 17-1800's. The owners are just a call away if you need anything and they kept the outdoor furnace stoked for a cozy week. The property is close to several small towns and abandoned hot spring resorts as well as hiking and antiquing. This was a great stay! we would do it again. Thanks Amy!
Really cute cabin
Nice place to stay. Very comfortable for get away. Hiking and caving near by.
Quaint, peaceful place close to Hanging Rock Raptor Observation Tower.
This was an exciting little cabin for the kids and parents. We were delighted with the woods and stream in the back (keep walking strait back to discover the stream). The cabin was a perfect mountain theme, like the Little House on the Prairie but with cable, bath and full kitchen. 😊. We were embedded in the remote West Virginia culture. You won’t get this experience staying at a hotel or campgroond. The best part was sitting on the porch swing waving at the locals driving by. The experience and peacefulness was very valuable. My husband was reminded that he wants a lazy boy recliner after having two nights enjoying this one. The sofa is comfy too.
Fabulous Getaway in Gorgeous Country
Very nice, cozy cabin. Rustic. Clean. Comfortable beds and couches. Dog friendly (but they do request dogs stay off the furniture. It is all fabric, so understandable).
There is nearby hiking to a hawk observatory, head over to Lewisburg, or just stay tucked in the cabin.
No cell coverage in the area - which was great for us since we wanted to "unplug." You do have satellite TV if you need it. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch.
