This was one of the most disappointing vacation rental experiences I’ve ever had.I booked this home to celebrate my 26th wedding anniversary with six friends. After a long day of flight delays, we arrived around 9:00 PM only to find that the home had not been cleaned after the previous guests.The host moved us to another property, but it was much smaller than what we booked, had a strong mold odor, inconsistent hot water, and was simply not comparable to the original reservation. Because it was nearly midnight and we had seven people, we had no choice but to stay for one night.The next morning, I offered to pay for that one night and requested a refund for the remaining nights. The host refused and suggested we return to the original house after it had finally been cleaned. After everything we had already experienced, that was not an acceptable solution.We spent more than four hours dealing with the host, customer service, and searching for another place to stay instead of enjoying our anniversary trip.If you value cleanliness, honesty, and responsive customer service, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
