New build, so everything’s in pristine condition. Fixtures are elegant and the cabin’s delightfully uncluttered with kitsch. Cookware’s great (my chef partner loves the ceramic coated copper). Cabin is the perfect size for a couple, though oddly the seating is not: the couch is really two separate chairs with a very wide cup-holder middle, so even though the gas fireplace is inviting, there’s no way to cozy up with your person in front of it. The Adirondack chairs by the firepit also keep the couple separate, and if you want to sit on the front covered porch protected from the rain, there’s only 1 porch chair (a two-person swing here would be great). Tons of unused deck space in the back; the furniture’s new (still has lettered stickers on the pieces); at night it’s a great place to lay down & star gaze. The kitchen is in need of coffee mugs, and there’s opportunities to add hooks to the living areas (there’s none for hanging coats near the entrance or under the stairs, none in the bathroom for robes or towels, and the hot tub deck area could use hooks for towels & robes too so you don’t have to put your belongings on the ground). Tiny details, but that would add tons of convenience. The area’s quiet; two other cabins are in view but it feels pretty private. Tons of local wildlife, beautiful views (esp of sunset). A perfect getaway to unwind, relax, and luxuriate in an easy way of living.
