During rental period, tenant may access the residential space within the structure. Garage is not included in the rental and tenants are prohibited.

We had a wonderful stay at The Lone Oak! The home was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. The hosts were friendly and always available with any questions we had. The peaceful setting with the rolling hills and gorgeous sunrises and sunsets made it easy to relax and unplug.We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch and taking in the beautiful countryside views while watching the many birds and other wildlife. The stocked kitchen and comfortable beds made it feel like a home away from home.The location is perfect for exploring the charming town of Winterset. We enjoyed visiting the famous covered bridges, browsing the local shops, and checking out the restaurants and wineries nearby before returning to the quiet countryside to unwind.We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in Madison County!

We had an amazing stay and would absolutely book here again!We came to Iowa for the Hinterland Music Festival, and this house was the perfect location—just minutes from the festival grounds, making it incredibly easy to get back and forth. The home was exactly as described: clean, comfortable, quiet, and had everything we needed for our stay.Paige was an outstanding host. Communication was excellent from the moment we booked through checkout. We even accidentally nicked a door frame with my wheelchair during our stay, and she couldn’t have been more kind and understanding about it. This trip was especially meaningful because it was a surprise birthday trip for our daughter, and seeing her favorite group, KATSEYE, perform made for memories we’ll never forget. Having such a comfortable place to come back to each night made the experience even better.If you’re coming to Hinterland—or just looking for a peaceful place to stay in the area—I can’t recommend this property enough. We’d happily stay here again!
